Comment:

I personally love Dr. Neff as a prof, although the content of her lectures are quite boring she tries to liven them up with open discussion. She is always available to answer any questions outside of or in class, she replies to emails same day. Her tests and assignments are very upfront and as long as you pay attention you will get a good grade.

HORRIBLE, I started off loving the Law and Justice program at LU but once I moved into 2nd year and had her as a prof for JURI2106 I hated every minute of it. I had questions about lectures or assignments she would flat out make me feel like an idiot. Her lectures are horrible and it is insanely hard to get ahold of her, switched out of the program

Where do I start... she's tough. Be prepared to study for the midterm and the exam two weeks in advance. She gives you the questions BUT she'll be pick 10 out of the 30 that you need to know. You actually don't even really know if the answers that you're studying are right! Study to get an A... and you'll really get a C if you're lucky.

I'm honestly never taking any of her classes again. She looks nice but she doesn't engage the students with the content which makes her lectures dry and boring. She gives you possible test questions and exam questions so if you ace those and the papers you're good. Going to class isn't really necessary, you can skip once in a while and be fine.

Ideal prof to have, crystal clear and motivational. I was a little skeptical about staying in the law program until I met Neff. Truly inspired me to love coming to school.

If you are struggling with an assignment don't waste your time asking her for help. She won't help you, and she will just tell you to refer to the course outline. There was no textbook for the class, just assigned readings which is not a bad thing. Her lectures are very boring and hard to follow. I will never take a class she teaches again!

Difficult prof, lots of memorizing. Gives you all the questions that will be on the test prior to, but will not give you the answers. If you ask and are struggling she will give you hints which sometimes help. For the midterm expect to spend 3 days answering the review, and another 3-5 days memorizing. A little bit more for the exam.

VERY boring, gives test questions but lacks any ability to spark student interest. Asks very vague questions in class. Relies heavily on other peoples work and constantly proves that she knows little of the area she teaches. If her class was not mandatory for my course I would have dropped it like it's hot

3 different courses wit neff: Her lectures are dull and repetitive. She relies heavily on case studies and academic essays. Be prepared to read ALOT. She is fair. She PROVIDES YOUR TEST QUESTIONS in advance. TIME CONSUMING. you do as well as you prepare. She does WARM UP to you in upper years. She can joke and be nice.

Her expectations are ridiculous, she is ignorant and her exam consists of everything in the book and modules!!! It is hard to memorize every reading, since they tend to contradict themselves. I encourage you to change programs!

NEFF GIVES YOU THE POSSIBLE TEST QUESTIONS BEFORE THE TEST AND EXAM!! If you answer them and memorize them you will ace this course. If you don't do them before the test you will flunk. That is why there is such terrible reviews because ppl are mad they didn't study. If you are lazy avoid neff, if you work hard you will do just fine!

I think the people who wrote bad comments are just mad they suck. Interesting lectures, explains readings well. She gives out the possible questions for the tests before hand. TESTS REQUIRE AN UNDERSTANDING OF ALL THE READINGS. This is the only reason people do bad is because they don't read. Had to work hard, but learned lots and got a good grade.

The worst teacher I have ever had the displeasure and misfortune of having. She is as interesting as watching paint dry and in no way engages her students. She is unapproachable, dull, reluctant to help, and unreasonable. She has no social skills and an inability to speek with students. Her lectures are extremely unorganized and difficult to follow

The teacher is so Grumpy and Uninteresting... Her lectures do NOT follow an outline and are extremely unhelpful! I cannot pull myself out of bed most mornings because I know I will have to sit in her class and learn not one thing. I DO NOT recommend this Teacher.

She is one of the most boring professors I have ever had. Her lectures are so dull, and dry. She talks about the same thing in every class, and she does not engage students at all. I would not recommend her at all.
