Got good grades for all three tests given during the semester. By the end he was making us do the same projects as CSC 142. The final was made up of concepts he said would not be on it. Did bad on the final and it dropped my grade down completely. Nice guy but does not know how to answer questions correctly.

He seems like a very nice dude. However, he said he hasn't taught this particular level class in ten years. I believe he thinks we all know the basics of java, so he never really explains answers to anything. If we ask him to explain, he says we should already know the information. I am not a comp sci major and I needed a tutor to pass the class.

One of the nicest and most caring professors in the department. Obviously wants his students to do well, answers any question you have and treats students with respect. Really funny and overall great professor. Class is hard, but he makes it worth it.

Awesome guy. He's pretty open about the fact that he has an accent but is super funny in class. He's an oldschool guy that loves what he does. Tests are easy if you study plus he curves pretty well. The projects are an absolute A if you follow his guidelines. Also buy his textbook.

Sweetest guy ever! Class isn't mandatory but if you go he'll boost your grade at the end, which you probably won't even need because the tests are so easy. You have 2 projects and 3 tests, no final exam. He gives you study guides online so just study those and you'll get an A! He also gives a lot of extra credit on the tests! EASY A!

Cheer is my favorite CS professor at WCU, I've taken him for three classes now and will be taking a fourth with him this summer. He is an extremely friendly and helpful teacher. Very lenient and goes out of his way to make sure you get a good grade. He's got a slight accent, but he loves to make jokes. Very approachable. A+ overall for Prof. Yang.

This guy is great. Just go to class, study 10 minutes for the test, and you'll do great. He has an accent, but it's really understandable. He's a nice guy and really cares about his students. The text book is optional, but it's only $15ish dollars so I bought it and was helpful. (2 exams and a final project, super easy). TAKE PROFESSOR YANG!

Love this guy, Older with coke rim glasses, thoroughly explains everything but has an accent so listen carefully, He draws everything on the board,Very important to take notes of everything he writes on the board because he only tests on that stuff, Didn't need book and I felt like a genius in this class.Perfect scores because he curves tests

Yeah, no idea how I passed this class but this guy is adorable. He walks around in his little denim jeans and big glasses- hes the man. Hes an easy grader and curves soooo much on tests. I pretty much almost failed each test but after the curves I got an A! TAKE HIM!

Extremely nice guy, difficult to understand at times. He should limit his class time to 1.5 hours and stay away from 3 hour courses in order to keep attention of his students. I recommend the course, just need to focus on what he is saying. Tests are not overly difficult but studying is a must.
