Cheryl's alright, class is boring but thats the same with any spanish class. Her tests are really easy though. You can only skip class 3 times, any after that and she starts taking points away from your final grade, but I think this is the same with every FLS201 class.

Dr. Block was wonderful. I struggled with all of the previous Spanish classes that I took, but Dr. Block made this one much easier. She's very sweet and understanding and very generous with grades. She seems to understand that it's a required class and makes it as manageable as possible. Highly reccomend.

I hate Spanish. The language gives me a headache. Taking it with her was bearable. She's nice, informative, an easy grader overall. I didnt understand the grammar stuff, didn't care to study it, r meet w/ her so, my test average was a 40%. I passed with a C. All I will ever need. I'm so done with spanish. woohoo!

Dr. Block was a great professor. She was always receptive to students and made herself available when we had questions or were confused about something. She also was very passionate about the subject and immersed us in the culture of the Spanish language, through videos, songs, and other multimedia resources.

She doesn't demand much of her students and thus the students don't prepare nor perform. I want to become fluent in Spanish and it would have helped if she checked the homework so that I was required to do so. Easy A, but if you're actually looking to learn Spanish, not so good. But she is sweet.

She's super nice, just not that great of a professor. I wish she went over the grammar portions more in class. You grade yourself on participation, so you could give yourself 97+ for not doing anything and she'll accept it. Lets you redo the compositions. She's an easy grader (she takes off .3 for something that may be 2 pts in another class).

She was really nice as a person, but a bad professor. She spends more time going over cultural information than she does on conjugation and grammar (which is a huge part of the final).Ironically, I received really low grades on tests when I paid attention but when I started teaching myself the material, I received good grades.

She really is awesome. Now that I look back, you really do learn a lot about literature, the hispanic culture, and a lot of new vocab that you didn't know you learned. She did this without making the class so hard. She's great and is very understanding.I'd take her again. Her oral Spanish isn't the best, but she knows as much as any other professor

This is a lit. class so there is obvious reading, but aside from those readings there was barely anything to turn in/do, most of the times it was just study guides you keep for the test, 2 essays you can redo for a higher grade, 2 presentations. Take her if you can. She's very understanding if you're unable to turn in work on time.

She really is a nice woman. She cares about her students and has a real passion for spanish. All of her tests are the same format and she practically gives you the tests via the notes. She doesn't try to throw you any curveballs or anything very staright-forward. Class is most of the time confusing and you don't really know what's going on...
