Awesome professor! Incredibly kind and clear with her material, and always willing to answer any questions you may have. Make sure you attend her lectures because she does lots of practice questions that are helpful for preparing for tests!

She is the sweetest,she makes accounting so joyful. She will answer all your questions. I really understood the material from showing up to her lectures, she goes over a lot of examples. She does her part as a professor but you also have to do your part as the student and read the textbook. She is my on of my favourite profs at Ryerson.

Kind,caring,joyful prof who likes to smile. Read the chapters before class to prepare for the quizzes. Dyson expands on the chapter with in class questions that cover examples you need to know for midterm and final. You'll understand what she teaches if you read the chapter beforehand. Would take her again for 2nd sem. Real gem. Finished with an A.

Sweetest teacher ever. I took accounting in high school so I was already familiar with concepts and aced the course, but for those who weren't familiar with the material, she was great at explaining. Extremely caring and personal, always came around to say hi to each individual student and make sure they understand. Read text before quizzes

Absolutely adore her. Uses a free word document/PDF file textbook and cheap $15 calculator so no need to spend big bucks. Takes her time to make sure material is well understood, even walks around the room to make sure every student is ok. Reading before the lecture will help A LOT especially since it's required for before class iclicker quizzes.

I was really dreading Accounting from how difficult my friends told me it was. However, Cheryl explained concepts well and went over tons of examples so that it was easier to understand. She is an amazing prof and if you get the chance to take her, do it!

She is not only a great teacher but she is also the nicest! When explaining concepts she is really easy to follow and uses lots of examples to help (some of the other afa 100 professors did not). Was actually sad to leave her class. Highly recommend!

Her lectures are very helpful- LOTS of examples to help the students understand the material. She is also very nice as well so it's easy to ask her questions. Her exams are fair and mostly what she has shown in the examples. Be ready for some curveball questions though.
