Comment:

I took this class as a breadth elective and it was one of the best classes I have ever taken. Cheryl is such a good professor. She is level headed, kind, a wealth of knowledge. Climate change is a real issue, and she is able to teach it in a way that inspires; but also encourages a change in behaviour. I strongly recommend Cheryl as a professor.

Cheryl's teaching style is different from other professors at Capilano. She's more into the experience and personal development you get out of the learnings rather than testing you on it. Her midterms are fairly easy if you study and prepare for it, so make sure you do that! (I got an A+)

She is a great teacher:) Her tests are easy if you study off her notes and remember all the details. The book was rarely used, except for diagram and extra reading but her notes in class are so good that you don't really need to use the book to study for the midterm or final.

Cheryl is an excellent teacher, extremely knowledgeable of her field and easy to listen to and understand. She does give LOTS of notes, so you need to go to class and do a lot of review to get REally good marks (nthng unreasonable tho), but in return she gave no homework(in my class). Nice, very fair, and the smartest teacher I had this semester.

GREAT teacher! I've never preferred Geography and have mild interest in it, however, Cheryl makes the class easy and interesting. Great notes, great teaching style, and extremely helpful. Cheryl is sweet, smart, and knows her stuff. She explains it clearly, and her tests are straightforward and easy to study for. You learn a lot in her class, and she's very helpful. She knows how to deal with students and how to teach them. I normally hate geography with a passion, but she made it interesting.
