class is boring and dry material, last part of the class was ok because of class presentations. she refers back to the book a lot, but I found that it is not really necessary. I bought it, and used it 2 or 3 times for reference and examples. skill builder assignments were unclear in marking cause u dont know what u did wrong

She is all right. The final was only on the material after the midterm and was worth 25% but you have to pass the midterm and final to pass the class. Group assignment is worth 30% and she gives class time to work on it. Last few weeks are for group presentations. Not a hard class..

This was the most difficult instructor I have ever had. She marks very hard, though oddly not the case for the ESL students who can hardly speak english. She picks favourites. Every sentence she speaks is long-winded. She just goes on and on seemingly trying to prove something regarding her intelligence but proves no points. She puts you to sleep!

This is one of the best profs that UofR has. She cares about her students, and it really shows. The workload is heavier, but it is really worth it b/c it hones your writing skills. No more academic writing Cheryl!!
