Excellent Professor. Accounting is a difficult class for just about everyone. Professor Porco makes the information interesting and digestible. Take her class and you will find yourself enjoying even the driest aspects of accounting. 10/10 would recommend.

LOVE HER amazing professor amazing lecturer. Absolutely hilarious. She makes accounting so fun which I did not realize was possible before her. The class is difficult, but you should be able to pass just fine if you read and do the practice work and PAY ATTENTION TO HER LECTURES.

She knows what shes talking about. She cares about her students like you wouldn't believe. I had to get tutored a lot because she moves SUPER fast in class, but id take her over and over if I could. Use EVERYTHING she hands out/puts online. BEST RESOURCES! If you have 0 interest/knowledge of accounting it might be rough, but if I did it you can.

I truly enjoyed taking this class. She is very nice, caring and knowledgeable! She deeply cares about the success that each student can achieve. She was great. I truly loved going to her class and found mostlectures very interesting (which was a perk since attendance is mandatory). I was a little worried when the course was 50/50 midterm/final but she was willing to work with the class in order to make sure we all did well. She truly cares and I plan on taking her again next semester.

Dr. Porco is an excellent teacher & a great person. She had something like 70 students in her ethics class because of a mix-up in registration. She could have forced students to drop the class but she taught us all and she did an amazing job! And she didn't cancel class: she created a few virtual classes because of the snow storms. She is great!

I don't know what everyone is talking about when they say Porco is a great professor. She is an extremely nice PERSON. As a professor she is awful. She does ZERO work herself, and delegates all the work to her grad student. Her tests are impossible even though they are open book. How about you make the questions yourself instead of your GA?

One of the best professors at Fordham, (if not the best)! Her class and the project are highly interesting. You actually use what you learn in her class, to hold great discussions with others. Moreover, she cares about your learning. She is very supportive, clear, energetic, fair and amusing. If you can take Dr. Porco definitely do so!

Very nice person, but genuinely an awful teacher. Barely anything from class was on the exams. All of the work she assigns is busy work and really does nothing to help the understanding of the topic (which is ethics... but you wouldn't know that if you sat in on a class.) I can honestly say that I learned nothing this semester. Total waste of time.

Her class is all busy work and no real learning is involved. She was absent >5 during the semester, her assignments are unclear, if you have questions about assignments or her class ,you end up interacting more with her assistant (who is an undergraduate student) instead of her. Overall, she comes across as lazy and incompetent.

Porco is incredibly smart and funny but....she doesn't teach too well. You're expected to teach yourself and she only teaches you the theory behind accounting but not much. Good news is though that she's a pretty easy grader and it shouldn't be a problem getting an A in the class.

Professor Porco is the real deal! She's passionate and knows her stuff. She's funny, intelligent, and one of the most warm, caring, and motherly professors at Fordham. Seriously, if you can, take her. She'll provide extra help if you need it and, if you put forth the effort, she'll boost your grade when it's all said and done.
