he downcurves which is completely evil: he'll subtract 5 points from your test grade because the whole class did well when its HIS fault for making the test so easy. he also has a huge tendency to lose assignments, he's just absent-minded in general. bad teacher, semi interesting class. you'll regret you took it though.

if you dont wanna learn aobut asian culture then DONT take this class.... his lectures run on about random things... you can write a quiz in your native language if the lang is from eastern asia.... go to class and listen...to pass quizes keep up with the reading... alot of essays

he downcurved our class so that in order to have an A, you had to have a 97!!! tests are really easy so everyone does really well... the only problem is that he curves so even if you end up with a 95, you won't get an A for your final grade. grades are from attendance, quizzes, 2 tests, and 2 papers

Ok, if you're interested in learning about Eastern traditions, take him! He is very knowledgeable. Lectures are very boring and long.He is not that big of a hard grader thou. Overall, I enjoy being in class. He takes attendance.

His lectures are so boring cuz he just talks and talks right up until the last minute and sometimes longer. He gives study guides for tests and if you do them, you're straight for the test. Lecture material can seem repetitive.

One word...yawn...you have to go to class but I love his little tangents on different topics. Class is interesting for the first twenty minutes then it is a struggle to stay awake. He is willing to talk to you after class and is very helpful.

I've taken Yoon for several classes and love him! You have to pay attention to his lectures, because the tests are based on his lectures. I liked his lectures, but can see how he can be boring if you aren't paying attention. He does go into tangents.

Very helpful man. If you like history take him, when he talks about wars he likes to say "big guns" and do the hand movements. That always cracked me up. :)

This class (Modern Japan) sounds so cool, but in reality, is incredibally boring. im sure it is an easy A, and attendance is a big factor. He is nice, but you learn nothing, all ests are random. beware.
