Comment:
Chris actually tries to teach people in the most concise ways possible, he gives out the information and goes over problems, answering questions, until people understand. You have to communicate with him otherwise he'll never know you don't understand until tests. Does drop lowest grades in tests. Clear about what he wants you to know.

Honestly the worst professor I've ever had in my life. He doesn't actually teach anything to his students and just expects them to know the material. No quiz make-ups for any reason, even if you are in the hospital. Weekly quizzes (sometimes up to three times a week)

Chris is not a great teacher. He is sarcastic and makes bad jokes about serious matters. He knows his stuff but cannot teach it in a way that is clear. He will ramble on for an entire class about something that takes twenty minutes to learn, which gets confusing.

Aubuchon would take the time to make sure everyone understood, and if it couldn't be done in the class his office door was always open to helping make sure everyone understood their work.

Comment:
Chris's instructing is thorough and he takes the time to show every step of a math problem, which can be very helpful. His homework is relevant and his tests are not difficult, as long as you complete and understand all homework assignments. Classes can be boring, but if you love math you're used to it.

Chris was a great teacher. He was very clear during is lectures and the weakly quizzes were a little challenging, depending on what chapter it was. Exams were not to bad, because he would go over the material that would be on them and would give a study guide.

Excellent teacher, extremely committed. You need to get used to his style (extremely methodical, careful), as it can seem just boring. I'd take any class that Chris is willing to teach. Progression through course material is too slow, but that's typical of this college.

Chris was my professor for both probability theory and abstract algebra. I always felt that I was insulting his intelligent by attending class, he is very smart! When I could get a hold of him after class, he was one of the most helpful professors at JSC.
