Neil is as bad a professor as they come. He teaches Creative Writing and since he has published a few books of poetry you had better not contradict him or think of him as anything less than a God if you want a good grade. In truth he is quiet incompetent as a teacher since he has no idea how to work with students who don't share his point of view.

Can be harsh, but is a good teacher. He will make your writing better, no doubt about it. Real deal, been around the block and he knows what hes talking about. A bit egotistical, but the trade off is worth it for sure.

Patronizing man. For a senior level college course I felt like I was back in high school. prsentations seemed like something he felt obligated to make us do so he could say it was a senior level class. He just wanted to talk. I didn't feel like I was being treated as a senior English major. I felt more like I was being treated as his kid.
