Professor Curtis is great, this is no easy class. You basically cover one chapter each week. With that chapter you have 1 writing assignment, 1 short quiz, 1 extra credit assignment and 3-4 discussion board postings. So multiply that by 14 weeks plus 3 tests at the testing center and thats the whole semester. He is friendly and helpful.

I had a different prof for this before, and dropped. His classes are organized and it made it easier to understand the material.

Extremely nitpicky.. No assignment seemed to be worthy of full marks, even if you met all of the criteria. A ridiculous amount of homework due (three discussion boards, a quiz, and a major writing assignment) every week and the time-frames were extremely confusing to keep up with. I wouldn't recommend him unless there's no other teachers available.

Tough grader is not the correct word, nitpicky is more correct. Even if you answer the question correctly it's still not enough.

He was a very tough grader a writing assignment was due every other week and the off weeks had tests, he makes everyone stay after a test and lectures till after class is over. Didnt give good feedback on papers your bad grade was unexplainable apparently. Only lectures and plays short clips of exsperiments. doesnt do group work. But a v nice guy

Prof. Curtis gave a lot of work. Each week we had to write 3 discussion board posts, take a quiz, and do a writing assignment (usually a page or two long). If you read the textbook and take good notes, you'll most likely get a good grade. Exam questions are all essays.

Comment:
Prof Curtis online psychology class is the worst class Ive taken at Delta. He would post vlogs that were very mundane. It didnt seem as though he made the coursework his own. He doesnt reply to emails in very appropriate amount of time, especially for an online class. I would recommend taking psychology in class and with a different professor.

Overall the class was okay. Professor Curtis can be easily reached. He is available, willing to help, as long as you care about your grade. He is a difficult grader, if you are sure about a assignment ask, and add as much information as you can. The book is manditory to take the online quizzes, since a lot of the questions were not covered in class

Tons of work in this class. 2 or more discussion boards due for every chapter. Power points were almost 100 slides a chapter. Only 2 tests but 7 essay questions each. Plus a paper due every week. I would not take this class again!

The work load was outrageous. Every Thursday night work was due; 3 discussion board posts, quiz submitted, writing assignment and option extra credit. Each chapter was around 75+ power-point slides not including book information needed for quizzes. TESTS are RIDICOULOUS . 4 or 5 essays per test which would take HOURS. Would not recommend!

He is a great professor, would totally take him again. He has two parts to his test: multiple choice and essay. Multiple choice is online, gives you a week to do it, and you can take it as many times as you want. Essay is taken during the first half of class. A paper due every other week, but pretty straight forward. Just make sure you read.
