Comment:

There were a lot of mini assignments, but they weren't very difficult to do. The worse part for me was the Tracking the Economy assignment. Professor Romer was super nice and answered questions almost immediately. She was really good at informing us ahead of time when she wouldn't be available. She gave great feedback on assignments and exams.

I thoroughly enjoyed her class. Her class presented the study in an entertaining and knowledgeable way. Not to say that her class is easy; she gives out a lot of homework but it's needed to understand the complex topics. And she gives you very good, solid answers to your questions.

Difficult concepts to grasp but Scanlon does a great job of delivery them online. She is very helpful and provides many study tips. You can use a notecard on all exams so study hard and make a good card and you will do fine! Don't forget due dates. Two short papers

Comment:

I hate economics. However, I did not mind this class. Even though the subject matter is tedious, Prof. Romer did a good job of applying it to make it interesting. She also made the subject very clear. The tests aren't easy but you get review a week or two in advance and you can take a note card in, which is very helpful.

Comment:

Professor Romer gives good feedback if you ask for it. Exams are proctored so if I were you I would want to live close to Delta so you don't have to pay for the exams to be taken at a library or else where. Exams are decently challenging. Quizzes &discussions each week with occasional work here and there. 2papers. Be ready to track the economy.

Videos were helpful but at times could be confusing since she would correct herself. Liked to make fun of students by adding comments of average test scores by saying wow, I thought you guys were better than that; it wasn't that hard, etc. Discussion posts pointless and tests would include random market data. Ok but would look for someone else.

Patient and cooperative, even with difficult/stubborn students. Thoroughly addresses content that you will be graded on. Notecards allowed for tests. Textbook is foundation for concepts but you'll rely more on powerpoint (uploaded too!) I'd taken this class previously with another prof and she presents material with great clarity. Highly recommend.

Shes the best teacher! I took her online for both classes & she practically holds your hand through everything. Very organized & crystal clear on assignments. Econ is hard to understand but she made it easy because she even uploads videos!Get to use a note card on exams! I wrote her dozens of e-mails asking questions & she always responded quick.

I took this course online, and it went really well. Sometimes online classes can be very unorganized or hard to follow, but this course was very well laid out. Was a little difficult at times, but any ECON course would be. She was very helpful and responded to any question or e-mail quickly. I learned a ton for it being an online course. Take her!
