Really enjoyed the class. Thought he was approachable and nice. Having two research essays are a bit much, but students can earn marks easily through other assessments. He clearly cares about student experiences in his class but he could be a bit more encouraging (future learning etc). I would strongly recommend the class - he's quirky and cute.

He obviously loves the brain, and I think knows more about how it works than pretty much anyone. Always answers questions and is a good explainer... I learned tons!

This course is great! the previous poster is lying about the course (check the webpage), he has posted office hours, answers email fast, always made an appointment when I asked. The TA is the same way! there are no tutors you have to pay (some of his grad students do something, but you don't need it) the course is challenging but awesome

Very Hard! He goes on the material really fast. He has no office hours. TA is only available for 1 h/wk. The tutors are so expensive (40$/h). The assignment language is difficult to understand. The prerequisites for the course are calculus and algebra with (recommended) knowledge of MATLAB, but the actual course needs way more knowledge than this!!

An interesting course and a good prof. He does a good job at keeping an interesting subject interesting by showing relevant videos during class. His midterms are fair and he gives an outline before hand.

He makes the course rather fun and humorous. You may want to go to class for those essays, and if you know the lectures well, the exams will come easier, even though he gives you the exams before hand. I'm not fond of the website he's set up for the sake of not seeing grades, but I'll settle.

Easiest class I've ever taken. Learn through hypnopaedia. The prof's pretty good, but a strong liberal bias shows in his lectures.

Good Prof. Spoke very well, had many examples and was very knowledgable. Definitely though buy the books for the course. Class attendance was semi-mandatory (in class questions at the end of class for the night course version). Midterm and "final" were simple. Gave amazing review/midterm or final previews before hand as well to help review.
