Super laidback professor. He even plays the guitar and sings in class. Tells you all the assignments that are due throughout the semester on the first day of class, I recommend you do them asap (they are easy) and then you're done with almost everything. Provides study guides for the exams which he doesn't grade hard. He's fun I highly recommend!

Christopher Johnson makes history fun, he provides really good lectures and is very approachable, and even brings in a guitar and sings songs! This class is extremely easy to get a B in, but you have to put in some work for an A. Attendance is NOT mandatory, but lectures are all that is on the tests. He is great, one of the best profs i've ever had

Best professor hands down. Just show up to the lectures and you'll be good. There are a couple papers and exams before the final which are pretty easy because he tells you exactly what he expects. Every lecture is similar to the book but I highly suggest making friends and getting notes.

Great History Professor. He is the guy to take for all your history courses. All I can say is, if you are an auditory learner then he is the Professor for you. Do the work and go to class. He's also very approachable.

Your grade is pretty much your tests, a project, and a couple of assignments. The book is NOT needed. His tests are straight from his lectures so missing class isn't ideal. He is a very cool professor who is pretty funny.

I enjoyed taking his class and having him as a professor. His lectures are straightforward and gives you every thing you need in order to pass his exams. I don't know how the class could be even more simplified. I'm hoping I could take him again for History 102.

Chris' class is great and he always has a way to make his lectures entertaining and engaging. Some of my favorite parts of the class were the times he brought in his guitar and played songs that directly relate to the events we discussed in class. All his tests are essays and are based on his lectures, so make sure to take good notes!

His class is all lecture based so if you dont go you wont pass. If you do go, you will learn a lot. All of his test are essay questions, but if you listen, he gives you everything you need. This is how professors should be; if we had more like him the education system would be better off! If you really want to learn look no further.

Johnson tells his lectures like he's telling you a hilarious, ridiculous story. Which is what history is sometimes. He plays guitar and sings songs sometimes. Lectures are fast paced, not a lot of discussion, but he keeps it interesting. Take good notes, maybe record the lecture. He grades hard but only, because he wants you to improve.

I've always struggled with history classes in the past and I've always found history to put me to sleep. But Christ Johnson is different. He is hands down the best history teacher I've ever had. He wants to be considered as a storyteller and will sometimes bring his guitar in and play for the class. Lectures are heavy, taking good notes is key.

Take good notes, especially when he says it may be an identification. I find that even if it isn't on the test, it does relate to an essay question. Hint: if he says he will email you notes on anything you didn't have a chance to cover, it will be on the test! Do all homework within the first month to save you from stress later on. Great class!

Professor Johnson is a gem. I really liked his teaching style; he lectures heavily but also takes lots of questions to make sure everything is clear and encourages class discussion. the quizzes can be tough but if you study and take good notes you'll pass. Also, his project can be really diverse and fun. He lets you be creative!

Chris Johnson is by far the best teacher I have ever taken. I had him for History 101 and 102 and I enjoyed every minute of it. He made lectures enjoyable by laying material out as a long, relatable story. He also did everything in his power to make it interesting. I HIGHLY recommend him. He is super fair and kind of hot! You will do great!

i took professor johnson for both history 108 and 121 and i couldn't have been more happy with my choice. He is extremely fair, and SO passionate about what he's speaking about. If you took good notes you will do well on the exams. Im certainly not an A student, but i got an A in his class. Love this guy, i HIGHLY recommend him!

Show up, pay attention, and take good notes. You might even want to bring an audio recorder for his lectures - he doesn't use PowerPoint. Tests are essay-style with 5 identifications (ex: Ben Franklin) which requires historical context and significance and an essay questions. 3 exams (including the final). Use textbooks in library for assignments.
