Terrible teacher. I learned absolutely nothing in this class and I had to attend a plus to pass. If you take this class don't bother going to class and just go to a plus.

Great Professor, however, the class should be renamed as Math 301 alternatively MIS 301 since he cut off 75% on chapter 10 and we learn nothing about chapter 14 and 15 (Linear , multiple regression - students with business major should know). Those chapters were announced on the syllabus!

The packets and lectures are exactly what will be on the exam. Print out the packets, take notes and follow along in lecture, and study the packets for the test. Structure of the class make it easier.

The class content is EXTREMELY challenging, so if you don't pay attention during lectures, there's a good chance you won't pass. Chris is an awesome teacher, definitely quirky at times, but he wants to genuinely help you so ask questions! I hated that this class was on Friday but I heard the other teacher sucked more so *shrug*

This class is difficult. There is no room for improvement if you don't do well on one test. He does not provide not even one chance for extra credit. The formula sheets provided for exams does not show all formulas. The course grades are 95% exams which is ridiculous. The professor's teaching style is average. He goes a tangent about nothing.

Please make sure you show up to class even attendance is not mandatory. His tests are exactly what he taught in class. No trick. Just understand the question carefully. He walks steps by steps. No homework and even one test drop. No curve, no TI-84 needed. I really enjoy this class. If you listen and practice the packages again and again, easy A.

3 Midterms, lowest score of the 3 is dropped. Final is cumulative (cannot be dropped). Class isn't too difficult, just as long as you go to class and take notes. He offers review sessions for midterms and finals which are hit or miss. Overall, not easy but not too difficult, just stay on top and you'll pass

Best math teacher I've had at SDSU. His lectures are tailor made for you to succeed. No homework other than two 1 page papers which were very easy. Tests are 95% of the grade here so show up to class and write notes and you will do well. Best option for business students who need to knock out stats.

This guy, while easier than other MIS professors, is really not an expert in what he does. This is definitely not an enjoyable class and anyone who tells you that it is is caught up thinking that O'Byrne actually cares about you because he tells you a joke or two in class. It's just another class to pass for graduation. Very uninspiring.

Attendance not mandatory but you need to go or you'll be at least a chapter behind. No textbook - packets for each chapter (really helpful). If you go through packets for exams & redo the problems, you'll do well on the tests. That's how I studied & got an A- and B+ on 2 tests (3 tests, lowest test dropped, 1 final. Do case studies - easy pts!

lowest exam score dropped, exams make up 95% of grade + 1 case for 5% .Does not curve. Goes really fast/skips around, kind of hard to follow lectures, exams have some tricky questions. His lectures are high energy but its not an easy class.

Go to class and study his packets. Makes statistics easy to understand. A great lecturer. He has so much energy from what looks like caffeine. Probably my favorite professor at SDSU. His classes are on Fridays, but its worth it. Skip a class and you lose a lot of value.

Absolutely amazing professor. Utilize his office hours if you need additional help or clarification. This class is based solely what you put into it. Tests aren't designed to be tricky but you MUST give yourself adequate time to prepare. Drops lowest test score (excluding final). He teaches statistics in a way that is understandable to students.

This is a tough class. O'Byrne made it as simple as he could by explaining the concepts well. You just have to practice and study the material a lot in order to do well. He is very knowledgeable about the subject and is there to help if you need it. He has packets for you to take notes in that point out the highlights of the chapters.

He's a funny guy, and he uses good examples. But that's not new because you'll see every other review mention that too. Legit good professor for this class. Idk about the others, but I'm glad I took this guy. I think if you go to class, you won't need to do the homework... BUT I advise doing it. Shouldn't take more than an hour max if you went.

Amazing professor! Professor O'Byrne is by far one of the best teachers I have had at SDSU. He made stats so much easier, he is very down to earth and provides many relatable examples. He answers every question in class and makes sure you get it. He has a very structured class. Test aren't that hard if you do all homework and practice problems.
