This was my second time having Christina as a professor and again she didn't disappoint. She provides interesting lectures and her course is always organized so far that it is easy to understand.

I read these reviews posted here in complete shock. Christina was a great professor and always greeted me with a smile when I approached her for help. Sure lectures were boring at times but she did make the content interesting. If you have her as a prof don't be worried, she's great.

Not sure why some of these reviews are so negative. I had Dr. Gabriel for two classes, and she is a great professor who cares about her students. If you have any problems or trouble go see her in her office hours. Also a very fair marker.

She seems like a nice enough person, but to be honest, not a very good teacher. Classes are not very engaging. In fact, if someone brings something relevant to course content, but she doesn't know about it, she'll dismiss it. Furthermore, as a previous comment states, she overly complicates things for no reason. Learn to be succinct, Christina.

Honest and very approachable, Dr. Gabriel is a very good person. As a professor however, she needs to improve her prose when lecturing because her current style does not reflect her own academic accomplishments.

Most boring prof in the world, she over complicates things for no reason. Attend tutorials, as they explain and go over things better then her... Insists to be called Dr. Gabriel and consistently brags about her PHD. Asks people questions and tells them that their opinion is wrong....... Avoid.

Not a good experience with this prof. Lectures are very unhelpful and she really fails to making the class interesting. Never had such a poor experience and I do very well in school.

Avoid at all costs. Absolutely horrendous professor. THE worst I've ever had the misfortune to come across. If you write a paper that so much as considers a valid theoretical framework NOT found in the textbook, expect to be graded poorly. She is a terrible lecturer, refuses to think objectively, and is pompous in her views on social issues in Canada.

She's tough, but knows her stuff and is really personable. There are annotations every second week so the course work is pretty heavy and the readings are a must if you want to participate in her discussion heavy seminar. I'd recommend this class but only to people who attend all lectures.

I found Prof. Gabriel's class to be engaging, relevant and diverse. I thought she supplied us with an extensive selection of reading materials (mostly journal articles) that covered many topics on Gender and Globalisation. I found Prof. Gabriel herself to be helpful and approachable. Her marking was fair.

She's a fantastic professor- I found her course extremely interesting. Very personable and supportive, and willing to help you with your research. She's a hard but thoughtful marker who gives quality feedback. Recommended - she's brilliant, and her courses are worth the challenge.

avoid if possible- but if not, just concentrate on readngs (her lectures are the readngs summarized poorly...and sometimes incorrectly)-go to class though as she is disorganised and you wll miss date changes, etc if you don't. She she isn't a bad or mean person and so you should make lots of appontments with her to go over stuff face to face.

I don't think she was well-suited for this class. She is a very nice, and obviously intelligent woman; but, she should reconsider teaching this course. Also, her expectations were not clear.

Although Prof. Gabriel is personable and knowledgable in her areas of study, her classes are highly disorganized. Additionally, she seems disinterested in the subject-matter that she is teaching, leading to an overall feeling of unease in the classroom.

This was probably the worst class I ever took. I liked 1st year women's studies with Virginia Caputo, but this course is awful! She's disorganized and boring in her speaking, and the major essay assignment was impossible to answer and poorly worded so lots of people got bad marks.

She is not clear and doesn't seem to have points to a lot of stuff. Her exams are hard or are worded so that it is difficult, and she expects quotations from authors to be memorized. She is not easy, OR interesting! Ps: she says "flagging" too m
