Nice enough guy, but yes, he does go off on tangents, rarely explains concepts, and pretty much just recites what's on the slides. Most of my learning was due to MY efforts in reading the material and doing the homework. Yeah, Nice guy, but I'm not paying thousands of dollars for nice, I want to actually learn the material.

Make sure to keep up with the ALEKS work online. It is really annoying and time consuming. Professor Hudson is great! Make sure you put in the effort and try to attend class although the lectures may be a bit on the boring side. Make sure to do the practice exams and study hard for the midterms!

Though his lectures are extremely boring, his voice is so soothing you just want to fall asleep, he's a really easy professor if you read the textbook and do the practice tests you are guaranteed at least a B without a curve which will take you to an A once the curve's been applied. Definitely take him.

Dr. H is really laid back, almost boring (enjoyed some of his dry humor though). Always slept through lectures. He used miriam's slides. just read those and DO THE PRACTICE TESTS. that's it. attend class for clicker points, of course. but he's really uninterested. you will, however, learn if you read the slides. Exams are practice tests, verbatim

Dr. Hudson's a nice proff. I was hesitant to take chem 211 with him based on comments but I'm glad I did. He does tend to deviate during lectures and has a dry sense of humor, but he's aware of it--it's entertaining! Labs and hw are easy. Tests are not bad if you keep up with ALEKS, review lectures, and read the txtbook. He offers extra credit too!

Extremely chill. He grades easy and is happy to assist students when needed and answer their questions. I can say that I wasn't expecting a bunch of chem lectures mixed in with the nutrition. But it made things interesting.

I really like Dr. Hudson, he's a nice guy, but he was not the best teacher. Virtually all of my learning was done from studying the book independently. He came across as being apathetic. He's a funny, friendly guy to be around though.

Dr.Hudson goes way too much in detail. The only way i passed his class was by doing aleks and the practice tests which mirror the test.sometimes he uses those same questions on his tests. He is very helpful during office hrs, and his curves are great.it is because of his curves that i passed his class.i would recommend him!

It's not that he's hard but science itself is difficult. I believe I learned more Chemistry in a community college than I did in a University. He's a great guy, just study in depth, take his lectures and go deeper and you'll understand.

I would said he knows a lot about science, and sometime go to deep in detail. That is why many students has problem with his class because they do not know what will be on the exam or where should they study. My advice, "read the book and come to his class as an extra". He is very flexible and easy. I am very thankful about that.

fine, he is boring, i agree. but if you mark the stuff he mentions as 'important' or stuff that he goes over again and again, it will be on the test. STUDY THE TESTS HE POSTS ONLINE! THEY REPEAT QUESTIONS! and do the extra credit, it saves grades!

Dr. Hudson is um, entertaining. He sometimes has a habit of getting a bit distracted in class, but he'll help you with any questions outside of class. He is extremely knowledgeable and laid back. He does tend to speak somewhat softly, so it's hard to hear him from the back of the classroom.

The way that Prof Hudson teaches is extremely boring, and its hard to stay awake in his class. I honestly didnt learn much from his lectures, but by doing the reading on my own, I was able to stay on track and ended up happy with my grade. So only take a class with him if you are willing to do the reading on your own to succeed in his class!!! :)

He reminds me of Ben Stien minus funny. He speaks so slow that its hard to stay away in class let alone pay attention. He knows his stuff, but loves to fluant it.Also goes off on tangents. His test can be quite difficult as well.

Dr. Hudson's lectures are terrible. He is unorganized and always goes off about something that makes no sense and is not relevant to chemistry at all. Difficult teacher, difficult class.

I got a D the first time I took the class and a B the second time and both times he was real leaniant on the 2nd exam. You just have to read the chapters and do the homework assignments and labs to do well. He does have a kind monotonous voice so falling asleep is easy in his class.

He's a really nice teacher. Almost too nice. He doesn't like to give bad grades. Homework is fairly simple. Labs are usually easy, especially since he'll explain [in detail] how to solve any problem you have. His tests are hard but they could be worse. I would recommend him.
