It is ironic and offensive for a student who actually know everything got their work deleted by other know-nothing group members and received low marks. She didnt care whether the student learn real knowledge or not. This course has been overemphasized on so called group work rather than real knowledge.

I studied the textbook day and night, and studied her notes and lectures. Conclusion: dont waste your time with this class. Why pay a lot of money to take a class in which you learn nothing from the lectures and have to teach yourself with the use of the textbook? Honestly, ubc has to focus on hiring better profs who can teach.

She's the worst prof I've had at ubc. She's not understanding, caring, kind and can't teach. I can't understand how ubc would hire such a terrible prof and person. Everyone, STAY AWAY FROM HER AND HER CLASS!!!

Overall Dr Scaman was very responsible and helpful. But she needed to teach students the real skills, like statistics, even which is not a requirement for this class. She should at least let students know what they really know and not. Educators should respect the truth not fake good marks.

Awesome professor, extremely helpful when you as her questions but can be intimidating because you don't want to look unprepared in front of her. But I think it's a good thing because it keeps you on your toes. Definitely the best prof I've had at UBC.

She is by far my favorite prof at UBC.. she may seem unapproachable at times but she's extremely helpful.. she stimulates critical thinking and helps you when you're really stuck.. the course was difficult but having her as a prof really made it worthwhile... yay for Dr. Scaman! ^_^
