Excellent teacher -- clear and interesting lectures, very even handed in discussing politics, very fair tests, quick responses to e-mails, and some extra credit chances. I think he really cares about his students. I am going to consider graduate school because him.

Dr. Jones knows his stuff and he genuinely loves IR. You will learn so much in his class. It's not at all a blow-off class and his tests were all ID and short answer (no MC). I got a B on the first test, A on the paper, A for participation and likely an A on the final. He makes you a better writer because he's so particular. Awesome and HOTT!

Dr. Jones is the kind of teacher I strive to be. He's incredibly knowledgeable yet makes it all manageable for his students. His classes are tough, but his relaxed style and sense of humor make them fun. He is extremely approachable and was overly patient and supportive of me when I needed it most. Everyone should have a professor like Dr. Jones.

Also had Prof. Jones for 382. He is the best teacher I've ever had. No one goes so far out of their way to accomodate students in any way possible. He not only taught me alot, his classes inspired me to learn outside the classroom. NIU is lucky to have him

Very smart man and an excellent instructor. He's got a tremendous interest in foreign policy and IR, and it shows. Committed to education and the learning process. Professor Jones is the best overall professor I have ever had. I am a recent grad of NIU and I had the pleasure of taking 2 different classes with him. Not only is he an amazing teacher, but he has been extremely helpful in providing me with a reference and contacts. I absolutely loved him and his classes!

I had a total of 4 classes with Prof. Jones and still miss him! He was by far the BEST professor I had at NIU and completely helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my political science degree. Register early - there is a reason his classes fill up!
