This class is all about which TA you get. I got Yasir and he is such a hard grader. He grades as if we are all BIO majors and doesn't know what he's talking about. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LAB PORTION WITH YASIR. He will destroy your grade.

Tudge is probably the best guy to teach bio. I wish I had taken him for Bio110. He's hilarious, and his life stories are incredible. He's from Australia and has an awesome accent and just does his lectures so that you're actually interested in listening to them. Really amazing guy, professor, and if you're into plant biology he takes undergrads!

What can I say about this class. There's no other GenEd 5 like this one. The lecture component of the course is amazing - you are not forced to show up most of the time but he makes the subject very interesting + he's very funny. The lab component varies but I had a great TA. Every test is online and have many basic questions.

Easily one of the best bio professors at American. I had him for Marine Biology, and he was so clear and helpful in his lectures. The tests were all taken directly from the lectures, so if you went to class you didn't have to read the textbook. His guest lecturers also helped me get an internship! Go to his office hours!!

This class depends on your TA for the lab portion and your test taking abilities. Tudge does his best to make lectures engaging even though the crowd thins out around the first month after the course starts. Read the textbook and use it during your tests and you'll do fine.

His course is wicked easy because the exams are online and you can take them with friends. However, if you take them alone, they are really hard questions. Keep this in mind when enrolling!

a one-time OMG professor. Amazing, so easy and so fun. 4 exams, 4 worksheets thats it! exams are online, just read the book and the slides and you'll do good n your exams.. 60% worth ur grade and yeah, an easy A class. However, try to get a good TA for your lab b/c lab are worth 40% of total grade, and it's a lots of works.

Tudge is the man. Makes BIO bearable. Your grade in this class really depends on what TA you get, luckily for me I got a pretty chill one. First exam is pretty tough but the other two are pretty easy.

He's awesome. Lectures can get a little boring so bring ur coffee to stay awake but he usually really gets into the lectures and it's fun to learn about all the cool science stuff. Really gotta study for the test though. They're not hard but if u don't know the material, u're screwed. The course covers a lot of material so stay focused.

Tudge is absolutely the perfect professor to teach a BIO100 class. He understands completely that most students are only taking the class for Gen-Ed credit and teaches appropriately. He makes biology clear and understandable. His tests are not easy, but it is possible to do very well when you read the chapters, go to most classes, and study a bit.

Pretty good professor. Understands that most of us don't want to be here and tries to make it entertaining. First 2 tests are hard, last 2 pretty easy. Labs are ok, but really important.

Tudge is the best gen bio professor compared to my friends reactions of others. He is easy and really wants to explain things! He also has a great aussie accent. Very straightforward and tests are pretty simple. You will enjoy going to class, although he doesn't care if you don't go. Great class!

OK, so compared to the other sections, the gen bio I section of his was so easy! I recommend people who took AP bio and didn't get credit to take his class. He is easy and its a great review of what you should already know. And his aussie accent is nice. Easy class, fun too.

Hard to get to know the guy in such a big class. He seems like a great person and is somewhat entertaining, but the subject is extremely dry and boring in such a large lecture class. There are four exams and nothing is cumulative. It's easy if you study the textbook. You really don't need to show up to class.

He is simply wonderful!!! I love him so much, because he is such a cool professor. He doesn't appreciate it if you are lazy in class though. If you have any issues and you cannot go to class, he understands and does not even ask for a proof! TAKE HIM. For the person before me - Tudge will not be in University College anymore. It's sad, I know! =(

Tudge=AWESOME! my favorite professor my first year at AU. He was really interesting, very open and personable. He even asked some kids in the class to babysit his daughters. If you can take University College, DO IT! You'll have Tudge, he rocks teaching that class. Class not mandatory, but don't expect outside help if you don't show up for class
