This prof is a mistake making machinery!! He just made 2-3 mistakes per day! And his teaching notes / hand written notes really made me confused. I find chapter 2 hand written notes in chapter 1. I'M DED.

I was afraid of calculus after failing an AP test in high school, but Mr. Zhang made it more easy! Very clear and good lectures and lecture notes. Caring and friendly in office hours. His accent is no problem, sit at front. He sometimes makes mistakes in class, don't hesitate to correct him. Assignments, test and exams are OK. Practice and ask!

Makes a ton of computational errors when doing examples. Hard to understand at first but you get used to his accent. Do the homework and you'll be fine. Quizzes are extremely hard compared to the midterm & final.

Very clear and great proofs. Will explain at a very intuitive level all the proofs in class. Very great for this. Will be very strict about attendance. Keeps a record of your attendance and this probably influences received grade. Great overall prof though, and the final was pretty easy. Midterm hard

he is a very friendly and nice prof. His explenations and understanding is not that clear but he is happy to answer an questions you have. He has an accent but you get used to it farely quickly. Exams are not easy but not too hard. i didn't study too much for this course and ended up with a C. Do txtbook excersises, they will help!

Fairly, he has a strong accent, but it's not hard to hear at all. Moreover, his class is always easy and the notes are really clear, there is no need to use the book. His mark is easy. He is really a good guy. The last semester i took 2 maths at the same time. Sometimes I got some question with my Math 1300, he helped me with that part as well.

I enjoyed his teaching style. Made class more fun with a bit of humor (not always intentionally though). He seems like a genuinely nice person and clearly enjoys teaching. Good, clear notes and examples. great reviews for midterm and exam. Class is made easier with Grants. I highly recommend.

Takes a class or two to understand, but otherwise is an excellent Prof. His English is better than many other non-native English speaking profs. Explained things really well and was really amazing whenever I went to him for help. The course itself is fairly cookbookish, so do a lot of exercises, which also helps with assignments and exams.

One of the worst classes at the U of M. Material is terrible. Zhang is ok, but if you ever want a problem fully finished, he's not the guy for you. There was way to much 'and you do some calculation, and you get this', so if you didn't know the process, it was difficult to understand. Final was straight forward. Midterm was not.

He laughs a lot, but don't let that bother you. You get easy mark with him as long as you do all of his assignments. Make sure you come 1 week before the exam, he usually gives you some hints about the exam.

This guy cracked me up like never before. His style of teaching is easy to understand after a little while, accent isn't too confusing, and the labs also help a lot. I enjoyed the class.
