She really knows her stuff. She is extremely knowledgeable. She is willing to help you as long as she sees you are trying. Test and Analysis are tough but graded fairly. You will work for ever grade you get in this class.

She is very knowledgeable with child life material. 75 percent of her lectures are very entertaining and stuff you will need to know if you desire to be in the field of work. You will have to participate in 16 out of class observations. She usually assigns a minimum of 3-4 papers. She is a tough teacher but Fair.

Dr. Mac is one of my favorite FCS teachers. However, if you expect to make a good grade in her class you better read the text book and take notes on what you read to study them for the test. Study her powerpoints thoroughly too. She knows everything about child development so if you ever are confused, just ask her! She is really nice one on one.

She was incredible as the teacher for the practicum. You have to show a lot of effort but it pays off in the end. She wants you to show that you have learned from the pass classes and put what you know into your papers and with hands on experience with children. If uneasy about anything just go talk to her.

Unreliable. Not easy to confront and hard to get in touch with. Turned in a paper online and did not receive feedback for over a week. Had to wait to continue other assignments. The assignments themselves were very vague and comments left to redo assignments were not clear.

Dr. Mac knows exactly what she's talking about and I learned a lot! She grades pretty harshly, but if you really work hard, study, read the text, take notes, and observe thoroughly you shouldn't have a problem passing with an A. Also, when writing papers for her I recommend that you give as much detail as you can and don't worry about overdoing it.

Unavoidable in the FCS or Child Development major. Very difficult to capture everything she wants you to talk about in her papers and grades very hard. 2101 was bearable, but 3107 is very hard. Must attend class AND be on time. Must be great at writing papers AND have a lot of time to observe or else you will get a horrible grade. Good luck.

Passionate and knowledgeable. Tests are hard if you don't read, study, or take notes in class. Observations are fun but time consuming and the observation papers are worse. Papers are grade very strictly - mostly on grammatical errors and not content. If you are thinking about taking her class, I would look at other options.

Loves the subject, easy to understand. Seems like the material will be easy on tests but its not. Read and study the text (as it is written by her) and the slides. Largely memory questions but some application questions. Observation is fun but the papers are difficult and strictly graded.

A good professor for in-class work. Not very approachable outside of class or as an adviser. Seems to be so wrapped up in her kid she can't be there for students.
