Professor Brennan is an amazing lecturer and manages to turn much of the material from the usual into really interesting lectures. Reviewing and understanding the lectures is essential to be able to succeed in his class but many of the concepts are straightforward and he is always happy to answer any questions. If you get a chance, take his class!

He. is. fantastic. If you only take one econ class at F&M, this should be it. I took this class out of curiosity and was nervous about understanding economics, but he did a fantastic job of making it relatable. Take excellent lecture notes and then learn them front and back and you'll be set for the exams. Exams were tough, but he's fair.

One of the best professors I've had at F&M. The material can get a little boring, but he does his best to make it as engaging as possible. His attendance policy is very strict, so don't plan on skipping classes. His exams are hard but if you go to his office hours he is very helpful! Do the readings!!!

Excellent professor. I had him for "intro to economic perspectives" and he presents material in a highly engaging way and answers questions from students very clearly. He does lean far to the left, but I didn't see this as a major issue, even though I'm on the far right myself.

He knows his stuff well and makes it interesting. A hard grader, but if you just take notes in class and memorize them, thats exactly whats he is going to ask on the exam. Not a lot of work. Would recommend taking him if you really want to learn econ perspectives. 2 Papers and 2 exams during the semester and a final exam.
