There is now way around Econ 2, its hard. However, she makes it easier. They say there is a lot of group work but there isn't, just one group test at the end, and if you have dumb people in your group the test is pointless. She is one of the teachers who enjoy there work, i know they are hard to find!

You wanna learn? Take Upton! Outlines the lecture on the board (awesome!) You have to earn your grade. Lots of group work. One group test. Attendance will help your grade so dont miss class! Write down EVERYTHING she writes down. Apply yourself, and you will do great. Hard class but you will learn a lot. Im taking her again next semester. :)

Challanges you and makes you work. A lot of group work. Writes notes word for word on the board. You'll earn the grade you get. Tests are strictly from class notes. Organizational freak, likes to be in control and don't expect to be able to get up and leave in the middle of class.

she writes lec on the board,allows extra credit.I recom not missing a day N her class & having a recorder. The last exam is done w/a group which can help out others who are on borderline N the class. Keeping up w/her notes is a must b/c 1/2 of it is vocab. I recom taking her but U have 2 put N ur part as well N order to do well N the class.

Mrs. Upton is a great teacher. She is unlike many teachers in that she actually has a very clear understanding of what she is teaching. Her notes are very well organized, and the class is very informative if you show up and pay attention. I left the class with a confident understanding of economics.

Great Prof if you plan on leaving Tomball and getting a real college edcuation. No other Prof even comes close to challenging you like you should be challenged! Crack your book ask questions and apply your self. Two hours a day for post lecture studying are a must in the real world.....

A class that requires lots of study. Her exams require much analyzing & always includes a few essay questions. There is 1 group test. The final is comprehensive. Provides outline on board. The test review is inconsistent w/ actual exam. She offers extra-credit that requires summarizing business/economic articles. She seems serious & rarely humorous

Although she writes the outline on the board,her teaching isn't that great.At times make students feel dumb when stating, "C'mon it's common sense you don't know the answer?!" She also tells us to be quiet in the hallway as if it were highschool. She calls on students regularly to check if they studied their notes. There is alot of extra credit tho

Mrs. Upton is a great teacher. Economics isn't a subject that can be memorized, you have to learn it. She writes her notes on the board in plain format but it really helps to read the book too. I am so glad I had her to lay the foundation for understanding economics.

What are you talking about?! I think shes a really good and informative teacher. you just NEED to take down all her notes and write down what she says because all of it is on the test. Don't bother buying the textbook because she doesn't go by it. But overall i think shes a great teacher and makes econ fun. ;]

She's a nice person..BUT, She doesn't follow the order of the textbook which means her lecture is all over the place. She doesn't write complete notes on the board. She gives in class assignments that are hard and not very helpful. She wants the students to participate in the class discussion, but she makes you feel uncomfortable and unsure.

She is so incredibly easy. She writes her notes on the board for us and tells us everything that will be on the test. As long as you look over the notes about 3 or so times then you'll definetly ace the test. She never lets class out early though; you'll be lucky getting out 10 minutes early. She only gives ONE ten minute break too.
