Comment:

There are 10 quizzes, and he drops the lowest 4, and 3 exams. The quizzes are more difficult than the exams, and the practice exams prepare you very well for the exams. His online lectures are wonderful and very clear. The material is not difficult. This professor is a great online math option!

His lectures pure garbage! very boring and has everything already written out on some pdf or word sheet. It's so horrible that you'll regret it and will end up teaching yourself the entire course! i warn you, save yourself

Lectures online are not the greatest but YouTube has plenty of understandable material. His test are taken at testing centers, do them as early as possible and get ahead in the class. He has two grading schemes which is nice considering test 3 is nothing but double and triple integrals. He also curves the grade so long as you show your work.

If you take this professor online your going to regret it. His lecture are trash. He reads off of his pdf that barely show steps or how he worked the problem. Your going to teach yourself all the material. Your best bet to pass this awful class is to watch Professor Leonard YouTube lectures for Calculus 3.

If youre bad at math look no further! Great professor, took him for summer mini mester and it was great. Its alot of work but if you just pay attention to his lectures he makes math easy to understand. Take my wors for it, i passed with an A and im horrible at math. Quizzes and tests are easy and relatable to the material he teaches. TAKE HIM!!

Loved taking this class over a minimester! His lectures are perfect, I rarely had to look elsewhere for supplementary material. He definitely just wants you to succeed.

He has tons of notes online that you can do. My problem with his class is that his teaching methods weren't that great, he erases examples and does it again. I had to teach myself b/c of that and he shortcuts then I get confused. No hw. Quiz are given ahead of time. Reviews are easier than his actual test especially the final. The final is hard.

I love this professor. Taking him online for cal 1. ALL you gotta do is pay attention and youll pass. Very clear and gives very good instructions. Gives take home quizzes and you can use a 8.5x11 cheat sheet on exams. Very funny and responds fairly quick to emails. Overall awesome!

Took this class during the mini-mester. You basically need to pass it if you have nothing else going on in your life. No work, no family, no social life. Extremely rigorous course. Above all, he is an excellent professor. He has one of the required books posted online and explains very well. Videos are on his YT channel. Gave extra credit to tests.

Okay im going to be honest, I took Professor Smalley, knowing how my math skills are pretty mediocre and that I need to really study to understand. HE IS AWESOME. His lectures sometimes aren't too amazing but I took him for both Calc 1 and 2 in the Summer and I wish I could take him again but he isn't online in the Fall. EMAIL him at anytime!

I took Calc I with him for a summer online minimester. I watched every video lecture he posted and it was very clear and helpful for studying. He gives problems to do from the book. Do them because it's very helpful for the exam. Exams are easy if you watch the video lectures and do the homework. I would definitely take him again.

Great Professor took for the four week winter mini meter. This is a hard class but if you study and go over his reviews and notes you'll be good. Four lowest quizzes and lowest test is dropped. Form a study group for this class go over notes and take all quizzes. He is also really fast at responding to emails and questions. Overall great prof!

he makes calculus so easy to understand. I took his online class, and I look forward to taking Calc 2 with him online as well. His exams are not hard at all, just go through the notes and you will be fine. He usually adds a few extra points to each exam, but again, he makes everything so easy to understand.

Comment:

Smalley was great. I took him in the summer, one exam and three quizzes are dropped. Also, the first test was take home and the other two are proctored. The quiz questions are given to you before you have to submit the quiz but you only have one chance. He is also helpful and understanding. I would definitely take him again.

Really good when it comes to explaining material, however can get a little off track sometimes. His notes are very helpful and he even has video lectures online. MML homework is an easy quarter of your grade. He doesn't care about attendance, but you want to show up to lecture cause it can get a bit complicated. Very nice person and very humorous!

(Calculus 1) Very clear teacher, understood everything he taught with ease. Gives you lectures he writes himself, not book copied. No homework required. Quick online quizzes. Had some trouble due to health issues, but would've had an A without them. Gives you lots of help and chances for a good grade - extra credit on tests taken on time in class.
