CJ is an incredible person and an amazing trainer. I have all the respect in the world for her and she has inspired me to become not only a better rider, but a better person overall. If you have the chance, try out for her team, take a PE class with her, listen to her talk; whatever it is, just make sure you meet her- she is unforgettable.

An amazing instructor! Being on the riding team is amazing with CJ as head coach. She cares about every student, and pushes them to the max to ensure that their full potential is reached. A really hard instructor, but the work pays off with a nationally recognized championship team. If you're serious about riding Mt Holyoke is the school to be at!

I was really intimidated by her before I took her class, but now I LOVE her and can't imagine being so intimidated. She's SO helpful and kind towards her students. Really makes you work, but makes just as much of an effort to get to know you and help you in any way possible. Take a class with her before you graduate; you won't regret it.

CJ is an amazing instructor. She has legitimately changed my life. I have learned sooo much from her, both about riding and about life in general. She genuinely cares about every single one of her students and really knows how to get the very best from you. Not gonna lie, her class is hard work, but the payoff is worth it.

CJ is amazing. She may seem tough but she always puches you to be the best and she cares about everyone as an individual and as a rider. Most caring coach I have ever had and so passionate about riding. Riding here would not be the same without her.

i don't know what ppl's problems are w/ cj. i'm a rider who did the a circuit all her life, and mt holyoke as a whole did not dissapoint in quality. the horses can run the gamet talent-wise, but they are all athletes and cj and the others pay close attention to their comfort. as for them being overworked - they're used on average in 2 lessons a day

I took riding 351 w/CJ Spring '05. I loved taking a class with her. I think I was the only person in class who was not on the riding team, and she spent just as much time with me as everyone else. She is a wonderful person and a great coach!

CJ rocks my world. She's freaking awesome. She tells funny stories about the old days and makes you drop your stirrups, collect the canter, get in a two point and post to the canter and take your legs off the saddle ALL at the same time - she obv. has faith in all. I end up loving her a little bit on and off!

CJ is just an amazing person. She is patient and really gets to know each student so she can work effectively on everyone. I had a show the day after her lesson and she knew that and gave me tips and excercises to prepare me even though she didn't have to. Works hard, gives great advice, and, my favorite, genuinely cares about horse and rider.

For a school that is accredited with the leading riding program, I have never been more disappointed. The equestrian team truly appauled me, the horses are over worked, and the instructors are inadequate. We should have been paid to school the horses, this class is used as a tune up for 100 level.
