Comment:

Professor Jolys storytelling class focuses a lot on world building and character forming, a subject which Im passionate about, and has made it a boring chore because of the nature of her assignments. The class is alright, and sometimes interesting, but we worked on the same assignment in dif parts for over half the semester.

She is a really nice and respectful professor. You can tell she has a great passion for world building. Her feedback on the assignments are helpful and also inspirational. I will definitely take more of her classes.

She is really passionate and has a cool way of teaching class. I would say the class is hard for most everybody involved because no one is studying to become a professional writer, but it was an enjoyable class nonetheless.

The best thing I can say about her is that she cares about the class. The only issue with this is that she sees it as being more important than it really is. Other than this her teaching style is alright I guess. I just didn't have much of an interest in the class.

i love this class, the material she is teaching is the most important things you can learn about telling a story (either for being an animator or game designer) she is heavy on the textbooks but she does use them all but maybe bits and piece here. she requires a lot of reading which i've never found time to do. but none the less she is awesome!

Professor Joly is extremely excited about what she is teaching, and for some students they will be just as excited. If you aren't into literature though, don't expect this class to be any fun. I however found the class entertaining. Professor Joly was also extremely nice and helpful.

I thought this class was going to be interesting, but it really wasn't. It was a repeat of a lot of high school history, slavery and all that. Joly herself is nice, but she just kinda talks in front of the class. Biggest problem was that we spent $150 or so on books and she didn't use them (except one). Don't buy the books and take the other SOS.

Mythology for Game Designers... ha. It's mostly an African religion class. Material has almost nothing to do game design. 3 assignments the entire semester (2 papers and 1 presentation). Don't bother buying the books for the class, just use cliff notes or the library. Very easy simple class if you just want to satisfy the ENG150 req.

"Um" - Who is she kidding, there is no way she is a trained speaker when she says "UM" over 150 times in a 90 minute lecture. I didn't learn anything from her, and it was a waste of time.
