Wow,I was so clueless when I first attended his class. I did not take accounting prior to Ryerson, and it was just a whole new world for me.Thats why I dropped it. I remember that he would put his foot on one of the desks and it would look like an air-split. That was funny.Take him if you already took accounting,you might enjoy it

He is horrible. His tests are hard for an Introdutory Accounting Classes. I mean a lot of us may have transferred from High School to University, and a lot of us may not have taken accounting before. What he taught in class and from the textbook had little to do with the midterm and exam. Do not take this prof. Take John Love instead.

his tests are quite fair. doesnt really teach much in class.. just does lots of hwk questions and goes on & on. highschool background really helps cause he's not very clear, if u dunno any accounting stuff before taking his class, then u'll probably do bad..

I took accounting for 2 yrs in high schools...got high 80's, here I almost failed. TERRIBLE teaching approach, I could have explained it better to all those poor students. Nice guy overall, tells life stories wasting our well paid time to be taught, midterms were his MADE UP VERSION of journal entries...makes stuff up the way he wants it

If you can, drop the class. It's better to be behind than fail. FOr all you in first year who think you can practice till you understand, think again. If you don't get something early on Towsley will keep it that way. Drop it and take it with a different prof, you will thank me later when the hell of 1st year is done.
