Please. He wrote a book and then got the school to let him teach a (horrible) course on it. Do we need more? OK, how about he's malicious and vindictive when people disagree with him. Direct quote from class in response to a girl trying to argue with something he'd said. "I don't care what you think". What a superstar.

Dr Grant is one of the best profs at MTA. Although I wasnt a huge fan after taking 1651, I am one of his biggest admirors. I have taken all of his classes and you are hard pressed to find a man who better understands the philosophy of religion better than him. He will be missed when he retires.

This course is actually known to be "the worst course you can take at Mount A".Don't do it...and if you do keep in mind that he looks like a turtle when he licks his tounge out after basically every sentence.that'll get you laughing and interested for at least half the class.Get a group of friends and take turns going to class and getting the notes

Has some very interesting ideas, but unless you can regurgitate all of them with more clarity and insight than he gives them to you, you will not do well. Since he wrote the textbook, you won't get any extra insight or help from that direction either. Class seems to be learning to memorize one man's opinion.

Dr. Grant is a wonderful prof who cares about his students and what he is teaching. He knows what he is talking about and always wants to know what the class thinks. He is very easy to talk to and is very good to help in any way he can. Any student at Mt. A should have him!

Biggest waste of time of my life. The course is him making his own definition to the word "myth" and wants us all to believe his lie. Don't take this class unless you want to learn nothing worthwhile and want your GPA to plumit.

Sigh. The result of making a course up and then writing the book. It sounds like he's constantly pulling it out of his ass. Saying things like "society is reality, we create reality, reality is god." It's like a class on modern society and at the end of each subject he says "therefore it's mythic".

I hated this class and will never have him as a prof again. I went in for help, took his suggestions, and got the same mark as before. Impossible. It sounded so good in the course book, but it seems unless you're a Christian theorist you'll get nowhere!

Dr.Grant has the most structured lectures at Mt.A. He is very clear in class about what he expects on exams and in your papers - those that don't give him that are the ones who complain on this site. A very fair and entertaining prof.

The myths course is what sold me to religious studies, you either like it or you don't and I loved it. He is tough in his earlier courses to wean out who will stay with the study and who will not, so don't go in expecting a bird course. Otherwise, when

Dr. Grant is one of the best profs if not the best prof I've had at Mt. A. He's extremely interesting and very structured which makes his classes easy to follow. His class Faith and Doubt caused me to minor in Religious Studies.

Good God (pardon the pun). His course (myths) was the most atrocious course imaginable. He wrote the textbook, but it made about as much sense as the scribblings of a one eyed monkey missing two fingers. and colin - Myth is not what you think it is! DORK!
