I heart Bogaard. very clear, helpful, but puts me to sleep. difficult subject matter if you are not experienced in the philosophy field.

Knows his stuff, can talk about a topic for 80 minutes straight and remain completely relevant. There are 0 class participation opportunities but he still gives amazing lectures on the material. He's going on a 1 year sabbatical after he finishes the fall 2006 term.

and PHIL 1651. He's awesome. I want a little mini Bogaard that i can put on my desk and pull a string and he'll lecture for 2 hours. There's no time for discussion, but he's so good you don't want to interuppt him

I enjoyed his Philosophy of Science class very much. Though he starts off a tad slow, as he gets going he gets more excited. Very understanding and knows everything he needs to know to teach what he does.

I'd heard good things about Dr. Bogaard before taking this class, and he hasn't let me down. He's a great prof - very articulate, somewhat long-winded, but overall he obviously knows HIS material, and so much more. Brilliant Man.

Impressive connections in his lectures. You will learn a lot if you can stay focused for all of the 80 minutes of his classes. Chalk.

Extremely longwinded and boring lectures. No chance for discussion - it's all just him lecturing. Don't take this class unless you have some vested interest in the history of science, because the historical examples used are exhausting.

Very knowledgeble about the sciences and very good at explaining the arguements made by various philosophers. He makes the dry readings come to life , like when you look add vibrant color to a rather bland shape. (just not the color orange)
