She's a tough teacher but I like her, as long as you go to class and read her extra handouts and problem solutions you will be fine. Her tests are somewhat difficult, however if you do the extra problems she gave it's tolerable.

I hesitated taking this class with her because of her bad rep. But honestly, I really liked her. Her handouts, lecture notes , and tutorials are very helpful in learning the material. Just don't fall to far behind, and you'll be fine.

She definitely teaches well. Very organized lecture notes. There are few assignments but require a lot of time. Be sure to practice lots for midterms and exams because she usually gives long and hard questions, as well as multiple choices. Exam was very hard

she made us buy a completely new textbook, and throughout the term tells us how stupid the text actually is. her assigned textbook questions were pointless to do since they never came up in the course ever again or the midterms. if you don't go to her lectures (or know someone in it) then you will fail. 13% of the class failed... no jokes.

I gave her a chance, but as the course went on, her expectations of her class was too high. She mocked the class for failing a test and she's not very good when it comes to office hours unless you're the first couple. Doesn't speak up (even when asked). She is detailed in lectures but only on CERTAIN material she teaches.

I know this prof has been poorly rated. But I must say she gives very detailed notes both in class and online. This shows she is serious in teaching. Though tough, her test questions are also creative. She also tries to explain the intuitive ideas behind some mathematical results.
