If you are just looking to fill a requisite or an elective, than her class is for you. If you are an Art or Art History major, skip her class. She doesn't encourage independent thought or analysis. She just teaches out of the text, no independent analysis or critical thought. She reminds me of a high school teacher not a professor.

Great class. Before, I was dreading taking this class because art is not my thing but she manages to make it interesting. I took her honors art 6 class so it does require work on your part. No actual textbook and she gives out good study guides.

her lectures are very interesting, and are very clear. she is an extremly good teacher. study the study guides, take notes on everything and you'll do fine. extra credit included, need to attend class. highly recommended.

She is extremely helpful and cares about her students. Participation is a must but even if you're wrong, she'll still give you a point which is cool. Gives study guides for tests. Tests usually consists 4 slides id's, multiple choice section and true/false section. She is an awesome teacher. Just study and you will get an A. I did!

fitzsimons is awesome! i had her for art6 honors, and she's so extremely helpful and clear with her lectures. i was really nervous about her essay + written exams, but if you really spend the time studying your notes, it'll be fine. i also suggest you going into the free tutoring available for this class at the library -- it totally helps!

She's great! Although the tests are hard, and as much as we, as students.. want that A, the material that is covered is great. And, she actually enhances the greatness of this class because she's so passionate about it. She knows what she's talking about.

Shes so cool! she can teach, her tests are based on study guide, her class is entertaining, I'm taking her class right now and if she were to teach other art history i would definitely take her! Oh only thing shes strict on is the attendance and tardies. You must have a good excuse for absence or tardy.

She presents the material in a way that is so fascinating that I just want more and more and I was sad that she has to dismiss class. Her tests are really hard, but they prepared me well for the upper division general education university courses. They were a piece of cake thanks to her class, lecture style, tests, and assignments.

She uses the textbook and a very helpful study guide and sticks to them both.You get docked for missing class and you must participate when you are there but it's easy to make comments and get your point for the day. If you follow her sg and attend you can definitely get an A. Plus, she's always open for office hours and is genuine & accomodating!

She is very rude and unorganized. Her class was ridiculous and I was very interested in taking it since I had just gotten back from Europe. I'm not just saying this because I got a bad grade, I actually got an A, But I wouldn't recommend her if you are truly interested in art history.

Very Easy Class.One of the easiest GEs classes.It was a morning class but wasn't boring and I didn't feel sleppy in her class.The study guide is what on the test. Come early and prepare well for your presentation and study the study guide.u'll get A. The teacher dresses really nice by the way and she's nice too : )

Well, I took this class, thought it would be a good class. I was disappointed with ehr teaching style. She doesn't encourage independent thought and feeling; most classes are just a reiteration of the readings. She's pretty stuck up and cannot pronounce anything correctly. Tests are pretty difficult; what will be on them is always a mystery.

there are 3 elements for success in her class: 1)attendance...2)participation...3)do not procrastinate. her study guides parallel her tests, so study them. she make look nice, but in all honesty, she's not. do not expect her to be linient w/ late submissions because she WILL NOT accept them. DO NOT come to class late on exam days. do extra credit!!
