Her lectures are horrible cuz she just reads off her slides which are all online, but if you can suffer through them its good to go because she says little things that are often on tests..if you read through the lectures a few times and make notes you'll do fine on the mult choice quizez..exam is kinda hard though, assgnts are how you get an A!

Dont bother going to class because lectures are very boaring, but quizes and tests are exactly from lecture notes and book but a bit different, exams was pretty hard, labs for this course is what brings ur mark down, although she didnt bell curve she counted the best mark of 2 midterms and eliminated the lowest quiz which helped a little in the end

This prof is OK. Her lectures are useless because she only reads slides, her tests are hard-fair, doesnt bell-curve even if class average was failing but she did count the best midterm worth more than the lowest and the final can replace the lowest midterm and the lowest quiz mark was eliminated which heelped alot and pulled the marks back up again

Excellent course and prof. Very easy course if you like learning about science related material. Easy to study, all from her ppt lectures, which are posted. Didn't use the textbook at all. Got an A+. Memorizing material will not help, you need to understand the information to do well. Very straight forward, I enjoyed the class.

Mostly boring material but she speaks well, sometimes too quick. Does a review of the previous class material at the beginning of each class which may be boring but very useful to get it stuck in your head. Tries to be very funny which saves the class a bit. Who knew all the ways people die due to weather would make me laugh to the point of crying?

She was really boring, and not helpful at all, lol...her tests and exam are easy if you do minimal studying, but attend the classes. You don't realy need to go to the classes or tutorials tho, b/c there on webct...if you read them and never go you'll get at least a B+...class was boring as hell tho lol

Omg, I loved her class! She has a good sense of humor and is a good teacher. It is the one class from 1st year that I will truely miss. She's very helpful and fun. A lot of people say they don't like her, but most of them don't like the material anyways. She is very friendly and funny. For 1st yr ppl, take Nats 1780!

Anybody having trouble with this class either isn't attending or isn't doing the work! Schiller is one of the best professors at York. She has made the material approachable. She reviews material from last class at the beginning of today's class. She offers reviews before every test. If only every prof did as much for the success of their students!

HORRIBLE class to take. Don't even think about taking it!!! The lectures are boring and the tutorial are a complete waste of time. Prof Schiller seems to know what she's talking about but doesn't use an approach that allows everyone to understand. Fell asleep alot and was confused every class, save yourself from the stress & boredom from NATS 1780!

Very boring lectures.....tutorials do not help at all. Tests are not very hard but some stuff she does not go over very well. Assignments are not based on what she teaches. Overall a horrible class! Do not take this nats!!!!
