I think you have to be a major to love her. If I was serious about history, I'd be happy to take her classes. But if you're just passing through, DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER.

Dr. Glenn is perhaps the greatest professor on staff currently at Elmira College. She is a true master of her content area and her passion is contagious. By far my favorite professor on campus. I have now taken five courses of hers. Amazing lectures, you will never be put to sleep. You work for your grade, welcome to college.

Dr. Glenn was the toughest professor I've ever had, but also the most memorable. She is truly passionate about the material she covers, and emphasizes it's importance. If you want to take a class for an easy A, do not take her class. But if you're ready for a challenge and a true sense of accomplishment at the end of it all, her class is for you.

Dr. Glenn is one of the top professors at EC. Her classes are difficult and she requires attendance and participation, but it is not unreadable for a professor to ask students to do work. Her writing critiques are incredibly helpful and she allows rewrites. Be willing to work and take constructive criticism and she will help you succeed.

Comment:
Dr. Glenn is perhaps the most academically rigorous professor at EC. However it's college so if you're not here for a challenge you shouldn't be here at all. Dr. Glenn encourages participation and fosters great academic discussion in her lectures, she grades papers on the tougher side but if you work hard an A is attainable.

Not at all an easy teacher, but she is a great lecturer. Be prepared to read an insane amount of text on top of other classes - we were given less than a week to read and fully understand Benjamin Franklin's autobiography.

While I am an B writer in college, at worst, this woman would re-write every aspect of my papers and give C's and D's. Her attendance policy is completely unreasonable as well. Do not have any family emergencies or be in the hospital, as she takes nothing into consideration and will severely damage your grade for having an "unexcused absence".

Absolutely ridiculous professor. She assigns so much reading it seems as though she does not expect you to have any other classes to prepare for. She does not care in the slightest whether you actually learn or not. Unless you are solely interested in American history, NEVER take a class with this woman.

Glenn is a hard teacher, but only if you do not do the work. I learned the hard way that if you don't do the reading you will be screwed. She is really a nice woman and a fair grader, as long as you do the work you will be fine. Personally I liked her. Will randomly call on you in class and is a bit rough around the edges

Best professor I've ever had. Although many dislike her in introductory level classes, her 3000 level classes are amazing. Every time I leave class I feel as if my brain is full of knowledge. If you truly love history, take her classes.

She seems to be a very personable person, and she uses class time effectively. However, she goes overboard when correcting papers and tests. She basically re-writes your essays for you if they are not the way she thinks they should be written. (Even if the information is correct.) She is also not always clear on the requirements of an assignment..

Dr. Glenn is a difficult professor but people say this only because she makes you work. I have learned more in her classes than any other professor. Everyone at EC should take at least one class with her before commencement.

Myra's classes are difficult, but you can pass as long as you do the assigned readings, study and turn in drafts of your work. However, she does have a tendency to make her students feel small and stupid. I took great pleasure in proving her wrong; it can be done, but you have to be on your game as much (if not more) than she is on hers.
