Craig is a great prof, his lectures are amazing. Exams are always tough, and all the questions have a trick. He is a tough grader too, exams' averages are usually about 60%. You should stick to the class and do all the pre-readings in order to pass.

Incredible lectures, really explains things well. You definitely have to go to his office hours though (he has a lot of them) in order to make sure you are doing all the textbook problems in a way to get full marks. You also don't get much feedback throughout the course, which is frustrating. Tutorials are important, if your TA sucks, go to another

Craig is a very funny prof but can often come off as condescending/intimidating. His lectures were always fun to attend and I looked forward to his more than the other two profs in the course. Communicates what we need to know for exams but his questions often had difficult twists to them. Would definitely take again but genetics is not my forte.

Comment:
Craig is not the lecturer for this course but is involved in organizing it. However, due to this, there is a discrepancy in the knowledge gap between what is taught in class and what he believes you should know. Therefore, I do not recommend going to him for help, rather, refer to the lecturers themselves.

Funny and engaging lecturer; puts all slides online. Most of the complicated stuff on the slides and in the homework problems won't actually be on the test: the midterm and final were EXTREMELY easy and only on the basics. If you can do the practice problems on the slides, you're fine. Textbook wasn't used at all except for practice problems.

This guy is the reason why everyone does bad on exams. He is the course coordinator, so he tells the other two profs how hard to make the exam questions. most of your grade comes from the impossible exams. Some people got zero on the second midterm.

The 3 profs for bio 234 are all pretty much average. They're not great but not awful but I don't like how they encourage class participation but the make people feel stupid for answering wrong. Wouldn't recommend the course in general- the material is easy but they only give you 50 minutes to write the midterms so no one finishes

Funny lectures! Graig is a really funny guy and he really respects his students. He's definitely not a taught grader. No homework, only a midterm, a presentation and a final. Graig explained everything clearly. Not a hard course, though lecture content might be difficult, exams only test fundamentals! Will definitely take Craigs courses again!

He was great. Really knew the stuff and could explain it. Awesome in office hours. If you do the work especially the practice exams and tutorials honestly you will get easy A's. But beware if he teaching with KOTA.. Steer clear of him he can't teach so try to get a good TA coz that can make all the difference.

Craig is a very good fellow. He explains things very clearly, although it might be hard to understand his lectures just from the slides itself. Go to class and take notes and go to office hours to ask questions. Very easy to approach. He is one of my favorite instructors. His questions might be a little bit tricky. Know the material well to succeed

Great at explaining concepts during lecture. If you want to do well, got to class, listen and TAKE NOTES. The notes he posts online aren't all that helpful.

If you don't read the textbook for most of the concepts, you're not going to do very well. His notes are absolutely horrible with hand-drawn diagrams..I couldn't understand half his notes when I was reviewing for midterms. The midterms themselves were hard as long as you studied the major concepts he's mentioned in class from the textbook.

One of the best profs I've ever had. Super clear, tries to keep it interesting. Heard many complaints about the course being difficult, don't agree at all, it was a highly conceptual course based on logic, very little memorization needed.

Comment:
We only had a few lectures with Craig but I thought his way of teaching was overall effective. He was dynamic with examples he made us try on our own, however, sometimes his explanations were a bit rushed and sloppy when he wrote on the projection screen. Exams are hard and not marked with common sense which is frustrating.
