I really loved taking this class. We learned about Lovecraft (who I really hate as an author) but the class was still really fun and I enjoyed going each day. Grading was super lax, as long as you did the assignments you would get an A.

I love Dr. Fischer. This class opened me up to comics that I never expected to read. This is also the first class where I've actually looked forward to the papers, even as a non-English major. The papers allowed me to express my opinions on the reading, and the feedback I received felt like a good conversation.

Craig is a super great dude, first of all. Secondly, his class is pretty straightforward: there are no surprises on quizzes. Come to class, use your textbook to define and study vocab, and watch the movies, and you'll make the easiest A you've ever made in your life.

This was such a fun and interesting class. Craig was always making jokes and making the class enjoyable. Even though it was a larger lecture class, he still knew plenty of people's names and was very friendly.

Craig is such a good guy. His quizzes are easy if you just study each guide for at least 20 minutes. Very passionate about films, and full of interesting background knowledge. Clearly a very, very good person. I highly recommend his class, even if it isn't for credit. Be prepared to watch plenty of movies, though.

Dr. Fischer is one of the best professors in the English department. He's approachable and really understanding. One of the easiest professors to talk to. Lectures can be long, but are very interesting. Study for quizzes, go to class, and you'll get at least a B.

If your not a film major then you'll probably find this class boring but fairly easy. Make sure you study for the quizzes and you'll be fine. There are two papers but he grades very easily. Overall easy class!

He is a nice guy, but he tends to ramble. If you don't have an interest in film history, don't take him. He also puts people on the spot without warning. He makes people do skits at the front of the room sometimes. His class was easy, but I wouldn't take him again.

DEFINITELY take him...his lectures are interesting and even if your not feeling it one day, go anyway cause you get to watch movie clips! He loves what he does and his quizzes are definitely easy as long as you look over the definitions. Don't cheat because it makes you look stupid, especially in this class...TAKE HIM

Mr. Fischer is a GREAT teacher and is really funny. He's a nice guy and he really tries to get to know his students on a personal level. The class can get kind of boring because the tests aren't on his lectures... but attendence is required. Movies are shown outside of class and questions on the tests come from the movies along with vocab from book

Craig is probably the BEST professor I ever had while going to App State. HANDS DOWN! The class was incredibly interesting, the workload was appropriate for a 2000-level class, and I was finally able to have a professor I 100% respected. If all the professors at App were as great as Craig, this would easily be the greatest college in the nation.
