Dr. Paces is amazing, there's a reason why her classes fill up so quickly! She makes the classroom such a comfortable place, and the readings she assigns are interesting. Grades based on two essays, a document paper, a research paper & presentation, class participation, and Canvas discussions. She is a tough grader but it's worth it.

Everyone seemed to like Professor Paces prior to my class. Very unclear about assignment requirements because she was "flexible" but would take off points for failing to meet random requirements. Went on a pointless Saturday all day field trip for $20 plus own food expenses in the city for a 1 hour Jerusalem exhibit. Were there for 8 hours.

Professor Paces is a saint. She is passionate about what she teaches, a fair grader, and truly wants everyone to succeed. If you're a history major with advising needs, she will do everything she can for you. Consistently brightens my week with personal stories, lectures, and her presence overall. Absolutely take her if you can!

Professor Paces is spectacular in every way. Incredibly intelligent and passionate, she brings the subject matter to life. Extremely fair grader, consistently makes helpful comments, creates a comfortable class environment for open discussion and learning. She is fantastic. I would recommend taking any class she offers. Funny, kind, wonderful.

AMAZING teacher. I took Professor Paces as a summer course to bring up my GPA and loved it. She loves to watch movies and relate class to real life. She is of czech heritage and always brings it into lectures which are great tangents. Take her for classes related to your major or requirements, you won't regret it.

Best teacher I have ever had. She is very helpful and understanding. She keeps lectures interesting, even gave us a lecture just on Oktoberfest in Germany! Her workload isn't bad at all and she is a fair grader. She is always there to help you on your papers so take advantage of her office hours. A delight to be around.

I loved Dr Paces. I thought that she was a little lost at times but you could tell that she really loved the subject. I had her for the history of Prague. I didn't know anything before the class but she really made it interesting. And she was available for help when we were working on our group projects. I would def take her again
