Her lectures are always so interesting - you won't want to miss class. Lots of opportunities to make you apply the material and understand it better. Her tests are super simple and there are no tricks or surprises. Such a great professor.

Dr. Whissel is funny, intelligent, and makes all of her lectures very relateable and interesting to listen to. I struggle with multiple choice tests but she gives such good examples that I was able to take detailed notes.. You will be prepared for her tests as long as you attend class I got the textbook but didn't use it cuz of her powerpoints

Hands down one of the best professors I 've ever had. She truly wants her students to succeed. Her lectures are so detailed I didn't need the text book. Only had two midterms and an exam . If you didn't do well on the midterms she would let you retake it. We got extra credit for volunteering to help older students with their studies. Just amazing

Had her for Psych1005 - she's great. Easy classes, doesn't take attendance but all of her lectures are online so if you miss something you're fine, easy tests (3 for the whole year) - overall really easy! Don't buy the textbook though, waste of money

Psyc 4007 as boring but Dr. Whissell was great. She's a huge treckie and drops Star Trek references to make analogies. I loved it! Only class I ever had with her.
