boring class. all memorization. his lectures can be very confusing because he didn't really prep it well. His tests are confusing, with bad wording.

Eric Meyer is a great CSIS instructor for the college and one of the best. The course itself is ALL memorization. If that is your specialty, this is definitely you course. His notes and handouts is enough to obtain great results for the quizexams. There are 2 exams worth 35% each and 4 quizzes, assignments, and a presentation. Boring class..

Comment:
He is too confusing when it comes to C#. Lectures are boring, he pretty much read the codes, doesn't explain. There is too much info in the class and there is no supervised practice. That means that if you are not able to understand a code and memorize it by reading, you will never be able to do the assignments.

Eric is an excellent instructor who goes way out of his way to help his students. if you try and put in the effort you will do well in his class. Unlike Gilbert who is a instructor in the same department at Douglas college Eric actually cares for his students and does what ever he can to help students succeed.

Well, Eric is an approachable teacher if you do all of your assignments. But I have to say his homework is really really time consumed. You need to focus on much time for this course. 5 quizes and 6 assignments overall. A little bit boring lecture and lots of memories.

Eric is easy to approach and help students out whenever they have doubt. There are a few assignments, quizzes, a midterm and final. It required you to read and memorize from the textbook. Overall, he's a nice guy but the course itself is boring.

Eric is definitely a nice guy, but is not the most stimulating prof. The class has a MT & F each worth 30%, 4 quizzes @ 14% and 8 assignments @ 26% that are deceptively tricky and time consuming. The class is very concept-oriented over hands-on. Really read the text and do your own notes! But he is approachable so see him if you need to

Eric is a nice guy, but the way he teaches is a little boring. Classes usually consist of lectures with Powerpoints, and an in-class exercise here and there. Quite a few assignments, and quite a few quizzes. One mid-term and one final. Chances are you will find yourself browsing the internet in class. In short, nice guy, but boring teacher.

This course is not a GPA booster.Eric talks a lot and doesn't really allow you to ask question. You must be very vocal.Know your acronyms. Study the power points and do redo the class projects before a test.I got a B- .I didn't buy the textbook.

Eric is a very good teacher. Had him for CSIS1110 as well. He is very clear and knowledgeable about what he's teaching. If you want a good mark on the final, make sure you keep your quizzes and homework and review the answers he provides (if you got any wrong).

Great teacher, very nice guy. If you do the assignments the class is easy and you will get a good mark. Most of the studying for tests and quizes can be done just by completing the weekly assignments. I would highly recommed this teacher! Text books are not a must but greatly help with the assignments if you arent sure how to do them

if you don't know how to program, he is the man who will teach you. If you are planning to be a programmer, he is a good starting point for the rest of your programming life. Not only does he teach you C++ (key word and usage), he teach you all the logics and key programming structures commom to most programming language.

the instructor is very nice and extremely helpful...he has long office hours and he's there everyday (unlike most of instructors only give 1~2 hours per week as office hour). Unfortunately, the course itself is not easy and it is very boring and requires a lot of memorization.

Detailed instructor with a lot of knowledge. He's well organized and assignments are pretty nicely structured to give it some challenge and easiness. He's helpful but refrains from giving out the answer. If you're not firm with your programming concepts from VB I, be careful and study hard.

THE WORST PROF I'VE HAD AT DOUGLAS! class avg is 67%, the highest grade is A-, 6 people failing! DON'T TAKE HIM! lecutures are boring, straight out of the text, assign take WAY too long, & he's a hardass marker. very UNhelpful! I took this class thinking it would be a breeze since i've worked with computers forever now... the biggest mistake ever!
