Comment:

Very straighforward. Moves quickly in lecture & expects a lot but none of it is too difficult. Good teacher. Math lab isn't fun... 3hrs per week. Go to class, do your work and you'll get an A for sure. I slacked off and missed some classes, quizzes, and math lab weeks but I still got an B, thanks to the grading system. Don't buy the textbook!

Very straight forward on concepts. She has a good personality, and wants her students to succeed. The only grade from her in the course, however, is through i-clickers used in lecture. I would take another course with her.

Really smart teacher. She wrote our textbook. there is a quiz every class that comes straight from the homework. Overall it isn't too much work. Sometimes the tests are tricky and she likes to challenge us.

Dr. Young is one of the better Mathematics Educators out there. She made a topic that can be difficult, straight forward. It was work, but I remember that everything she tested us on and graded us by was very fair. If you paid attention, did what she asked, then you had no trouble.

Goes through material quickly, but generally does a good job explaining it. Gives problems in class to make sure you understand the concept. In-class quiz on a homework question every day, but it makes you do the work to actually understand the subject

I had to drop the class after 2 weeks. She doesn't realize that many students are Majoring in Education. She is doing easy examples in class and then ask super difficult questions for homework and test. Stay away unless you are a math guru. The GA sucks as well. I was told she was good :(

She is a very nice lady who really seems like she wants you to succeed if you try. She has homework due every few days online and they're not that bad seeing as though they're only ten problems. And the tests are pretty straight forward nothing too tricky so if you pay attention in class you shouldn't have any problems.

Dr. Young covers the material quickly during class so it is good to look over the chapter beforehand. She makes every concept clear by relating them to everyday things, and if you have any questions she always takes time to answer them. We did not have assigned homework. The tests are straight forward and often like exercises in the text.

Dr. Young is a decent professor, but make sure you're willing to do the work. ASK QUESTIONS. Do the homework (even though it's not graded). Tests are reasonable. She doesn't try to trick you. But they aren't curved. She's understanding (aka canceled class for Spirit Splash). Overall it was a good class and she structures it nicely.

Though she's nice, her lectures were almost useless to me. There was a little parting of ways between the lecture and the tests, though not the worst case I've come across. The daily quizzes were stressful, though that only applies to those having a perfectionist personality. At the end, the class somehow gets better, your score will improve.

Dr. Young is amazing!!! She is a teacher that definetly wants you to understand the material therefore she will repeat it to you until you understand. Quizzes are given everyday mainly for attendance purposes. Tests are fair. I earned a high B but if I would of studied a little more I could of gotten an A. She is brilliant!

VERY GOOD TEACHER... recomended! one of the few math/sci/comp teachers that can speak english at ucf. Class moves quickly so come to class and do the online HW but she makes it so you can get it pretty quickly.

Dr.Young is extremely straight forward. You attend every class, pay attention, take notes, and do the homework. She explains the material fast, but she's so thorough that you touch on EVERYTHING. She's a very smart woman and demands respect. Adhere to her, and your A will follow.
