Had the worst time with this professor. She does not put up the study guide for her exams until a day before the exam. Really unorganized on blackboard, and does not provide proper feedback to her students. Be ready to read a lot and participate in class to get C. Made us buy a textbook, and we did not use it once. Would never take a class with her

She is great, very friendly, knows to lead conversations and really made an effort to make our 8am seminar as fun and engaging as possible. Be ready to participate! Whether you are shy or not, you will be grateful you took her class at the end. A mandatory weekly readingsHWs for easy marks. Definitely recommended.

Fun evening class out early some nights-didn't like cause other lectures rushed. Many papers to read/referenced on exam as well as lecture material. I didn't read most of 1 (Polar Imperative) text. Still got B+. I wish there were study guides questions to guide all readings. Still learned lots. Op. to make a digital story video vs. research paper

I hate to admit this, but I didn't really like Zutter. Although I enjoyed the class and it's material, she was very condescending towards her students and made many of us feel inferior. She did Archaeology justice though. Not too many assignments and a lot of us didn't use the text. Exams were pretty fair.

Notes are not student friendly... large amount of material to write down with little explanation. 4th year student with A's in all other courses, this was my only B. Disappointing- seemed like she enjoyed seeing students struggle

She is a wonderful teacher. Inspirational actually. Go to every class and read all the required materials and you will do very well. If you are looking for an easy class to boost your GPA, and dont want to try. This is not the class for you. Doing well means putting in an effort. Lazy ppl need not apply.

Condescending. Intimidating. Arrogant. Does nothing to help facilitate student success. Terrible.

Cynthia was a great teacher. She did a lot of field work related to the class she was teaching, so she had great examples and really knew what she was talking about. Her test are really easy if you go to class and take notes. She is a fair marker when it comes to papers. Always friendly, approachable, and helpful. Would definitely have her again

Good person but not helpful whatsoever. SHE IS CONSTANTLY LATE and during in class labs does not help you at all when you're having troubles. She is the reason why I dropped out and made me lose interest in Anthropology.

She's a great prof! You can tell she really enjoys what she is doing and loves to see students engaged in the material. Her exams are clearly based on her class notes, in class discussions, and labs. As long as you attend her class and take good notes than you will do well.

Zutter is a great prof. Very well educated and passionate about what she teaches. It is easy to get a good grade as long as you memorize definitions and names of important people. This is the third class that I have taken with her, and I look forward to having her as a prof again.

Her lectures are impossible to keep up with. You either have to write the notes and not listen to what she's saying or listen and not take notes. Pretty much either way I always seem screwed! She is late a lot and has cancels some classes. Her extensive knowledge on the subject and her attractive good looks make up for some of it though.

She is a little intimidating which make her hard to approach. Finals are very intense consisting of a take-home which takes a week of work easy and a final with a written. Studying for finals week is spent on the damn take-home. Not all her ARCH classes even GET the take-home which I think is completely unfair. That aside, Archaeology is great!
