I had him in graduate school. He is knowledgeable but openly hostile to any student learning independently. He lectures by rote, the same each year, and if asked a question (even yes or no), he merely repeats exactly what he said to you on many prior occasions. He does not even listen what he says.

Very intelligent man and I thought his tests were very fair, not to mention he bumped up everyone's mark when he felt any of his questions were too misleading. To do well, you must attend lecture and follow with the readings in class. This guy makes theory at least somewhat enjoyable.

LOVE him! Dr. Levitt is brilliant! He is passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about theory. Yes, theory can be dry for a lot of people but he makes it as interesting as it can be. Go to lectures and you'll do great. He gets a bad rap for using big words..he is smart, get used to it you're university students! AMAZING PROF! :)

he is horrible. do anything to not take his classes. he uses latin words on exams and in the book, he rambles on and on. doesnt stay on topic, his slides are ridiculous, its like he is writing an essay on the slide. exams and tutorials are brutal. dont take him.

very smart man, sometimes his examples went off topic and made his lecture confusing. he does speak quite a bit so bringing a laptop is a good idea. exams had a lot of "blank is to such and such, as such and such is to blank"

I thoroughly enjoyed this class, he is an impressive lecturer and is definatly brilliant. This although was one of the mandatory classes,was my best class by far.
