Comment:

He did speak very very quietly, almost like a mumble, but as the semester progressed he got louder. He doesn't explain anything very well, but he does do a lot of examples, so I would write everything down that he writes on the board. If you're decent at math, you should do fine. If not and you need specific explanation, don't take his class.

I'm good at math, but all he does is sit up up there and either review things we already know or move incredibly quickly through things we need to spend more time on.

Do not take this professor if you want to actually learn calculus. His lectures never get to a point and there is lots of homework and its very hard to do when the lectures don't cover anything. His lectures are basically working a few problems on the board and then that's it. Hardly any explanation.

Seriously can't hear a word he says. He mumbles and is all over the place in lectures. He doesn't know how to explain the problems to students. Not good. I had to go on YouTube to pass this class and look up the lessons. And I love math! Usually comes easy to me! But not with him!

Why does everyone hate Felkins? He may not be the best teacher but he's pretty good if you're willing to put in the work. Before every test he tells you what hw problems to study/know and that is all that is on the tests no surprises. 3/4 of the class dropped but i would recomment him. I am a math major though.

Mr. Felkins is not a teacher. He will come late to class and every single day he comes unprepared. He basically picks up the book and works 2 to 4 examples in 20 minutes and calls it a lecture. If you insist on taking him I recommend finding good lectures on youtube and always work on a lesson ahead and use class time to start on your homework.

He is a terrible teacher who does not help whatsoever. His practice problems are not the same as the ones on the test. Everyone either drops or fails. Only 1 person usually passes his class. He is absolutely the worst professor ever.

Mr. Felkins is cool. Loved his humor. He can speak softly so listen for it. It's ALG, you'll have to study. He follows the book. The key is to read the section *prior* to class. Work the examples while reading. If you do, you won't be confused during class lectures & you'll know the questions to ask for any trouble you have. Will take for CAL I.

This man hardly ever smiles. Maybe is he had been more upbeat I would've been more interested in what he was talking about. Some of the things he did made no sense to me. The homework was generally harder than the test but sometimes the test was confusing, at least for me. Math has never been my best subject, but it made it even harder with him.

I'm taking him for Trigonometry and he is very difficult. Tests are most of your grade and every homework whether extensive or not is only worth five points each. I don't suggest taking him unless math comes easy to you or you have a very good tudor because tudors in the help lab have no idea how to do trig

He acts as if the algebra class is beneath him and talk in a way that is just to get through the class time. Asking questions seems like your even stupider. I really don't recommend him if you genuinely need to learn, if you already know it then take it and it'll be easy.
