His lectures are kind of confusing and sometimes seem to wander without purpose. Like other comments have said, if you take the time to connect with him or ask for help during office hours, he is more than happy to help and will look to you more favorably.

When I took Algorithms with Dr. Shoenefeld, we were learning python, which was the first time python was taught for this class. Anyhow, the class was a roller coaster when it came to its difficulty throughout the semester. There were 4 projects over the semester, two being fairly simple, one harder, and one quite complex.

Dr. Schoenfeld can be as good as he wants to be, and as others have noted, if you make an effort to connect with him, he is very helpful. The class I took from him was very well done.

He can be sometimes hard to understand in class. Though if you are having problems go talk to him in is office. He will try to help you and will also be more likely to bump your final grade up for making the extra effort.
