He's a great prof. He knows his stuff - and he teaches it with enthusiasm. He's easy to listen to, and he makes history come alive. I took an elective with him just b/c he was so good. Was also very honest about the quality of your work - my writing improved immensely b/c of his comments. Not easy - but you'll really learn and enjoy the process.

Cothrum was absolutely hilarious. People like him will say exactly what they think, which I liked a lot. Taught pretty well, tests were decent. Not too many As, but made an 8AM class worth coming to.

I took his class 2 yrs ago and I stumbled over a few lectures I recorded.The guy is a TRIP.I HAATE history but DC made it palatable.I heard a lot of people say how they hate that he wastes time with stories, but that's the only thing that brought me to class.Depends on the kind of person you are.
