TAKE someone else. I almost passed. By the end of the semester a few days before graduating I went to make sure I was still doing fine. I was. Was told to continue pulling the same grades for last homeworks and the final and I'd pull off a low C. I went to buy my cap and gown. Finished the class, final and all. A week after grad he failed me.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! He is very strict about attendance even though he says it is optional. He is very rude to students and moves way too fast. Although he is good with explaining topics, you MUST attend each class to really understand everything. He gives out TONS of homework and is the toughest grader I have ever had. He is awful.

Mr. Bach is a very thorough professor. He takes off points for minor minor things on tests and homework, and assigns a lot of homework. His lectures get off topic easily and he can be rude to students. If you go to his office hours he'll definitely help you out. You're best off studying the book.

Great teacher explains everything better than any other teacher I've taken before. If your lazy and don't want to learn math don't take him. Not an easy A but he will push your limit. I learned a lot and prefer his style teaching

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before taking his class,nice guy,very smart, but if you have a job or take 2 or more classes ontop of his class passing will be every hard to do.more homework in 2 weeks than any other math teacher does and test/quiz everyother week. grades it so its impossible to get 100%hes crazy about showing work!!!

Great teacher, but the way he grade the quizzes is horrible, you will never get 100% even if you got all the answers. Yes, a lot of homework, but is due every 2 weeks, and is a good way to practice for a quiz or test. I didn't pay a lot of attention because he explains too fast. I never needed help, because all you need to know is on the book.

Very interesting professor, definitely reminds me of a wacky scientist. He is clear with what assignments are handed out and when they are due. If you need help he'll help you out with the question. He is also somewhat lenient about late assignments but he will dock points off. Over all he is a great professor.

Terrible teacher! STAY AWAY! This guy will doc points if you accidentally use an upper case "N" instead of a lower case "n" on an algebra problem! Assigns an ungodly amount of homework so if you take 2 or more classes and maybe have a job also, forget about getting a decent grade.

This guy is ridiculous. His grading methods are outrageous, he spends far too much time on basic topics, then not enough time on essential ones. Doesn't explain anything. Very hard grader. He marked me off points for not using parentheses while showing my work. Take anybody but him.

Dan was my instructor for 6 different lower division math classes before I transferred to UC Davis over 10 years ago.He is the best professor, math or not, that I have ever had. I had C's in high school math - because of Dan I became an excellent math student and obtained my B.S. from UCD.

This guy actually makes math fun and he is really nice. He does assign some homework, but it is all designed to help the student retain what they are learning. He's a great guy and I wish I could take all of my math classes from him. His class goes by super fast and he's always willing to help. Great guy!

At first you might think you stand a chance in his class. Just find another prof. He's a good guy and he really means well for his students. But he grades hard on LONGGG homeworks, puts questions on tests that you've never seen to "challenge" you, and goes through notes so fast you don't even know you're learning. Don't do it.
