one of my favorite teachers! He is clever, witty, articulate, and encourages students to think and express their own ideas! If you are intellectually lazy, you might find him difficult.

Not an interesting class, to say the least, especially if your looking to challenge youself or learn something in english. You go throughout the whole year reading ONE book, taking quizzes, and doing a whole lot of nothing. Reading through the book during class is extremely tedious and insanely boring. One project, 3500 words on controversial topic

YOU decide how much you want to learn from his class. I recommend reading the book before you decide to stay or drop the class. If you like the book, you'll like Millar; if you think the book is stupid, you won't like him. I had the easiest time in his class because I actually enjoyed the material, but obviously, it may not be the same for you.

Bruce taught me how to succeed at Berkeley. He taught me how to write. His jokes are hilarious if you are bright enough to get them. Less enthused academicians will find him and his materials boring probably. But if you want to learn about college success, he is your man.
