Comment:
this class is the hardest computer class i have ever taken. the tests are killer so you have to study every day in order to pass with an a or b. unless you can remember 5 chapters of notes which have like 20 slides per chapter. i'm so glad i'm out of that suicidal class.

He is sooooooo boring! I almost fell asleep on the very first day of class. His tests are freakin hard, because he picks out things from his lectures that I never rememeber. I studied for all the tests and still did not do well. If you are not computer-literate and cannot memorize a lot of information, this class will be extremely hard and boring!

His lectures tend to drag on so its hard to pay attention and pick out what details are IMPORTANT and what details are not. His slide handouts are a BIG part of the tests, along with his lectures. Pay very close attention because the littlest detail can and probably would be added on the test.

Has some big ego problems, never question his methods or show him a different (or better) way to do something because no matter what you do, it is wrong in his book. Other then that he's not a bad guy. . . Tests are hard, often having material that was never even remotely mentioned in class. Still better then Pestka tho.

Study the slides you will get an A. Show up to class and act somewhat interested and you will do fine, otherwise quit complaining if you have a problem with every CS professor it's probably you not the person with a doctorate in his field.

the tests are difficult because he has a tendency to get off subject when lecturing and, well, he never really lectures on things that will really be on the test. you will have to rely on already having some knowledge about the subject and your textbook.
