He's good. Assignments were easy as well as tests. He gives study guides which help. It's not a hard class. Can be boring sometimes with lecture but really easy to pass.

Dr Geeting was tough, and pushed every student to their potential. The non-music majors were pushed to learn something new, the music majors pushed to develop themselves more. The students who did the work got the grade, simple as. And he tried to make the subject humorous and enjoyable, not always easy! One of my favorite teachers at CLU.

Dr. Geeting is a very intelligent man and he knows a lot about music, but he's reason I switched my major and decided to pursue something else. He's brutal, and if you're trying really hard to make it as a musician, he's probably the one to help you get there, but he's not above making you feel terrible to try to inspire you to do better.

Professor Geeting is a great guy and awesome professor. He may seem gruff, but he genuinely wants to help you succeed. You do have to put in work in this class, but it's not overwhelming.

Dont sit in the front row. From what I get this professor favors his music students, likes Taylor Swift, and Youtube. Personally I would not talk, just take notes. The exams may seem easy because he gives you a printed study sheet but there is A LOT of material to memorize.

Great teacher. Extremely helpful if you ask. Yes, you do have to work, but he will help you with everything...IF you ask. He is extremely knowledgeable and a very talented musician.

he is hands down one of the biggest chodes you will ever meet. he does not care about you unless you are a music major. he is cocky, and thinks he is the best when he give you false information. if you can take a similar class with another teacher, i highly reccomend it

Geeting can be a little creepy. Don't sit in the front row, he gets kind of close. He's a smart guy, but sometimes he thinks he knows more than you (regardless of the subject). His class is fairly easy.

Geeting was the worst teacher I had at CLU. He was so arrogant his head barely fit in the door. Like someone posted above, he's only interested in music majors. Horrible persona and teacher.

was too arrogant for his own good...would have had an A- in the class but due to the fact that i played a sport and was required to miss classes for my sporting events he dropped me a grade and a half...if you are not a music major he doesnt really seem to care.

Dr Geeting was one of my favorites at CLU - he was very interested in helping his students become better musicians, as well as better people. I had both he and his wife as profs and they took genuine interest in me. He still emails me periodically to check in on me and to see how life is treating me. He is very knowlegeable, caring, and damn talenented!

Not true about the B-/C grade thing. I was a music major and got an A in the class and knew people in it who weren't music majors or musically inclined who got B+/A's. You just have to study.

Great advisor, band director and person. Yes he requires you to do to the work and Music 101 isnt a cake walk, but this is college, not high school. He's always willing to answer your questions and help you out.
