D Millz is a wonderful man and makes the statical analysis of the data collected in lab interesting. His lectures take up most of the class but he doesnt require a textbook instead many scientific articles. Makes sure you take good notes so you can reference them as he doesnt post a lot of info. Also take stats prior to Rat Lab, it will help tons.

Wonderful professor, very understanding. If you show up, make an effort, and show interest then you will pass. There is a paper you right at the end of research methods but the entire him he walks your through writing your own research paper. He is always open for questions and makes lecture fun and interesting. Great man.

He gets that you don't learn by memorizing stuff to ace a test, so he helps you to actually retain information because you're interested in what he's teaching. He brought us brains to look at, and bought girl scout cookies to share with the class! He has such a cool teaching style, and he's super passionate about what he does. Great professor!

Easily one of the best professors I have ever had. There was not a day he did not crack a joke and have the whole class loving his lectures. Tests and papers were all group oriented and expressed that he would rather us hear the opinions and perspectives of others rather than traditionally test us. Always willing to help outside of class as well.

Dr. Miller is passionate about his material and very funny in the way he presents it. It is very hard to have a dull moment in his class. I went to see him a couple times for help and he always gave me 110% of his time and effort, including giving me points back on a test after we went over it together and he saw that I understood. Great professor!

Comment:
He is a very funny guy, however, class can be very frustrating because he often is unorganized and you will walk away from class wondering what, if anything at all, you learned. He can be a bit condescending, so going in to ask him for help is not always the greatest. He is very passionate about his work and neuroscience as a whole.

Dan is awesome he is super excited about his topics and always willing to help sometimes he talk in circles but you don't need to worry about a bad grade in his class, unless he hates you, which is almost impossible.

I actually took several classes with him and all of them were great. He was a difficult professor, but it was a good thing as he challenged you. He was intelligent and thought provoking and interesting. I am so glad that Carthage still has him on staff.
